48 Hour Film Project

Between Friday morning and Sunday night I got about 5 hours of sleep. We had 48 hours to write, produce and film a short movie to fit randomly assigned elements.

We had an amazing crew, my writing partner literally carried the team editing for 11 hours straight after everyone else fell asleep.

Our actors were incredible, sleep deprived and a delightful mix of drag queens, college students, teens and a couple members of a local indie band. Almost everyone was queer and amazing. (We also had a Homestuck!)

We finished our movie and got it uploaded with, seriously, 20 seconds to spare.

This has been an amazing experience. I don’t even care if we win. I want to do it again! We get to see our movie at the local music venue this Wednesday. Watch this space! I am so impossible proud and almost equally exhausted.

My sleep situation is KILLING ME. From getting up at 6am one day to going to bed at 4:30am or later another day! How do y’all swing shifters live?! I need tips on how to deal plz. Because I need to work more than 1 or 2 days a week but at night sometimes I just can’t get to sleep & when I finally do, it’s time to turn around & get right back up 3hrs later! Then try to be at school a full day & work til 3am afterwards?! Girl... Save me. . So the plan is to get to Bloomington in a timely manner after school & work at @nightmovesstrippers afterwards by 11pm. Yes, the shift starts at 9pm but I’M DOING THE BEST THAT I CAN. 😅🙃🤣 .
