i always thought it was suspicious how so many accounts all of a sudden ONLY post about palestine since 2023 and its all nonstop. or the only time they respond to a post/comment is have to do with palestine or reblogging donation scams. this is heritage posts and they deadass havent posted anything AT ALL since december 2024 and its about to be march now. and their recent posts for a while have only been about palestine or the general “america bad” when defending authoritarian regimes like china, russia, or north korea

that whole movement post 2023 became either a weapon to sow division in the us, especially hate towards democrats, or promote antisemitism/arab supremacy while weaponizing progressive talking points to convince other minorities to stop caring about trump’s rise in favor and fear of losing their rights. im sorry im never going to forgive any of these pro palestine “activists” or the arab community for pushing the “holocaust harris/never harris” agenda and pulling the surprise pikachu face when all black ppl told them that trump will be bad for everyone (including gaza) while also calling us slurs for being rightfully worried about losing civil rights + shaming other minorities for concern as well by labeling them as “pro genocide”

There’s a post I really wanna make about the new Polly/Ben audio Sleeper Agents but I’m gonna wait a bit since it’s only been out a few days & I only just got to listen to it myself.

I also don’t even know exactly what I think of the overall plot quite yet, because it turned out to be more related to the other Beyond the Doctor audios I haven’t heard yet (don’t get me wrong, Stephanie Cole voicing Bessie the car and ‘London, 1965′ were very much on my list already but Ben & Polly post-Faceless Ones story took priority. sue me), and it definitely wasn’t a direction I ever would’ve expected this kind of story to go in - but I also have to admit, it really did push a lot of the right buttons for me, even if only briefly.

TEN COMMENTS ABOUT “COUNTERPART” the series.

1. I’ve always enjoyed stories about parallel worlds; the variations and possibilities are fascinating.

2. “Counterpart” is a series on STARZ that explores the differences between two worlds connected by a single portal in Berlin.

3. The Berlin setting is terrific because it give a new look and feel that wouldn’t have been quite as interesting if the series was shot in Hollywood or Vancouver.

4. Berlin also evokes the Cold War since the show is also about agents (regular and sleeper) who infiltrate their counter-world and spy on what going on.

5. Since passports and visas are required to pass through the single portal between worlds, it’s amazing how many sleeper agents have also crossed over undetected.

6. J. K. Simmons plays both Howard Silks - one a namby-pamby paper pusher on one side, and a hardened ruthless spy on the other; I think we’re suppose to prefer the first but I like the other guy.

7. “Management” who set the rules for each side were introduced as a mysterious group who can only communicate through weird contraptions and interpreters - the idea promised a cool sci-fi angle; but the reality turned out rather mundane.

8. Season 1 ended with wimpy Howard surrendering to his worse enemy; season 2 looked like it was going to end the same way.

9. Olivia Williams (Emily - on each side) plays Howard’s wife and she’s pretty good; as is Nazanin Boniadi (who plays sleeper agent Clare who had to kill her other self) but Harry Lloyd (Clare’s husband) is irritating in both versions.

10. I cancelled STARZ at the end of season 1 because I lost interest but STARZ offered me a discount hard to refuse ($1 a month for 6 months); but the show has been canceled so no 3rd season will be coming... I’m not heartbroken.
