I try so hard to like Nicki's music! I loved her before she put out any solo material, but I don't think I've liked a single one of her solo songs. I like her as a person but, man, she's pulling a Weezer on me musically. Her verse from "Monster" is basically her Pinkerton.

And, come on, that Taylor Swift song/video was fun and catchy! It took shots at Miley's appropriative videos! Come onnnnnn!

Because it's a dumb game for dumb babies.

No, I do enjoy my time playing it with a room full of people. I think it's a fun party game, but a shitty fighting game overall. I get weirded out by people who are fanatical about it and treat it with the same level of dedication and enthusiasm that other people have for Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter. There's no finesse to it. Also, they won't fuckin' put Ridley in it, so fuck 'em.

God, I feel like I'm doing some real character assassination on myself with all this video game talk. I swear, my opinions about politics and social justice issues are totally not shitty! That's more important, right?!

I GET JOY FROM SHOOTING THINGS WITH GUNS, HANNAH. HOW ELSE AM I SUPPOSED TO COMPENSATE FOR THE SIZE OF MY PENIS.

Well, okay, I'll be more specific: I don't like the Zelda series, I think Smash Bros. is dumb, and I get frustrated by how Nintendo trots out the same old franchises, time after time, without doing anything artistically interesting with them (usually). They spend all their time preaching to the choir and doling out fanservice because they know it will make the big bucks. I want to see them take more risks, be more artistically interesting. They don't display enough potential for that.

BUT! I get genuinely excited about things like Yoshi's Woolly Yarn and that claymation-style Kirby game they showed. They're cute and visually interesting. I don't actually think Nintendo is totally dumb bullshit, because I do enjoy a lot of their games and characters. They just frustrate me a lot of the time, and then I get frustrated when I see Nintendo fans unquestioningly devouring every single thing they regurgitate into their mouths.

Microsoft and Sony, of course, do the same thing a lot of the time, with the Call of Dutys and Halos, and that's a bummer too. But, while I grew up on Nintendo, once Goldeneye happened, I just spiraled down into the abyss of shooting dudes and maybe sometimes cutting them. I find it easier to stomach Another Fucking Shooter than Another Fucking Mario Party. (Though, honestly, I only ever play shooters socially anymore. I'm really just a slave to anything RPG-like, these days.)

Sorry, I am rambling a lot about video games lately. I am long winded and literally no one cares. Anyway, Nintendo is fine, I just get super frustrated with them. I can't get by on just familiar franchises and whimsy. Maybe if they threw in some mechs or kaiju. Mechs and kaiju are the way to my heart.
