I was going through a Disney movie nostalgia watch, and I guess also, the Once Upon a Time series, and I saw people shipping this ship on the internet, and I thought it was such a beautiful ship, it's Mulan from Disney's Mulan movie x Princess Aurora from Disney's Sleeping Beauty, aka SleepingWarrior, as I heard it's called? I absolutely love the whole "Princess x warrior" couple trope sooooo much!!!!!!!!! P.S., to keep the crossover ship vibes, you can just do their Disney movie appearances?

So... originally I didn't want to see the Mulan remake. But after seeing videos of these two ?!

I'm definitely going to do it.

Mulan is definitely often shipped with girls.

I love Shang & Mulan.

But in Ouat I only wanted one thing, for Mulan to end up with Aurora or Merida ?! And that never happened !

Now I also find myself shipping the one in the remake with another woman ?

Even though I really like the ship with Mulan & Honghui, but Xian Lang is just superior. And then I'm a sucker for the villain x heroine trope, you know that.

In any case it's funny that even if the remake is clearly inferior to the original (not very surprising) well a form of queer subtext persists. In the original a possible bisexuality of Shang, and here with Xian Lang whose certain gestures towards Mulan cannot be explained by heterosexuality, definitely not...

Fan Fiction Expanded Universes?

For my next fan fiction experiment I'm going to try to create an expanded universe with all of my favorite pairings.

I don't know if I want to start with a "Everyone has superpowers" universe or a supernatural/modern fantasy universe or expand upon a fic I wrote set in the zombie apocalypse (which is also somehow a 'some people actually get superpowers' fic).

The latter is only on there because I have like one fic idea where Lena Luthor is, for lack of better word, a technomancer. And I think it would be neat.

This also means that I get to make my favorite thing in the world when it comes to writing.
