Whenever I research pretty much any health topic (from a holistic perspective), it comes down to adjusting these three basic things: SLEEP, NUTRITION, EXERCISE. And that would solve almost anything. Let's start with SLEEP? So overlooked and underestimated... Insufficient / poor quality sleep messes up your hormones, immune system, blood sugar, mental and physical abilities. Ideally, you want to go to bed between 8 and 11pm, because the most restorative sleep happens BEFORE MIDNIGHT. There's a saying: Every hour of sleep before midnight is worth two after midnight. You know how the same 8 hours of sleep make you feel more rested if you went to bed at 10pm, rather than 2am. Why? Because our sleep has cycles of deep, non-rapid eye movement (non-REM) sleep and REM sleep. The later at night , the lighter, more REM-dominated your sleep is. The earlier it is at night, the deeper, non-REM quality sleep you get! To say nothing of the advantage of waking up fresh EARLY in the morning (before 7am) and having a longer, more productive day.
