As mentioned with my 1st headcanon's post, Slenderman in this comic is different than The Operator. However, they are the same species. Slender is older and has tentacles. He can also create proxies.

As you may notice, the symbol is different as well compared to the typical proxy/operator symbol! This symbols is again, due to them being different entities and Slender's is based on Severance from TT. It's fairly similar, as since Severance severs things, this symbol is meant to bind them.
Differences in looks are basically: the circle around the dot in the middle of Severance is now surrounding everything + there is now an extra 'eye' shaped oval behind the crossed ones, which are tilted compared to Severance's more cross like orientation.
