Hello! I am applying regular decision to Smith, but I am debating on if I should submit an art portfolio or not. I am not going to be an art major, but do you know if it is beneficial to add one anyways?

Hey there! Submitting an art portfolio can’t hurt you, it can only help you! Here’s what one of our Admissions Officers said about submitting a portfolio on Slideroom:

“Basically, an applicant pays $5 to use the upload service to upload up to five files.  These files can be in the topics of dance, music or visual art, and can be videos or pictures or audio recordings.  These files go directly to faculty in these areas; the faculty rate the work and then we in Admissions simply see the ratings.  The best part is that it cannot hurt your application to submit, it can only help you.  I don't know of any specific rules limiting what work you can submit, it's really up to the applicant as to which work she is proud of.”

Can someone help me out with Slideroom please? If I already have my recommendations done on the Common App, do I not enter the e-mails on Slideroom or do I just enter my teachers email again? Pls help! I’m a dying film student.

i'm trying to submit some of my music for my massart portfolio but the slideroom only accepts image files so should i

1) make a movie with just the album cover thing i drew for each song

2) do something else??

i could really use some help guys if anyone has any experience/input please hit me up

SlideRoom is so much better than the Common App
