He recently printed that insane 10 color #MASTODON poster for me a few months back. . The good dudes in @DIRTYHEADS commissioned me again to design a poster (my 3rd) for their current tour! I really enjoy working with these guys because I can explore different subject matter and influences! . If I’m lucky they’ll ask me to do more posters… . The idea behind this poster was to continue with the mermaid theme that I started with the previous @DIRTYHEADS poster from the Summer of 2018. I really wanted to do draw a mermaid and tie in all that I’ve been learning from tattooing on that piece. I can’t put skulls on everything! But I can put lily pads and flowers everywhere! . I had always loved the painting #Ophelia by #JohnEverettMillais. He was a #PreRaphaelite artist from the mid 1800’s. I wanted to take inspiration from there but also run it through my own filter. It was a challenge to say the least. I wanted to cram in more detail than I normally do so people take an extra few minutes to look at what’s going on. And to push myself further as an artist. .
