I'm at work in my local premises today. The day to day business of the Sheffield sling library and Sling Spot shop services are run by my wonderful and dedicated team of colleagues and volunteers; headed up by Kiri.... the team give me the freedom to do my GP job, run 4th Trimester and do much of my training and lecturing and advocacy work. Here is a short video again showing how the strap placement makes a huge difference. At the start, little J is rather low and there is a large gap between his chest and our model Amelia's. This will be felt as a hard pull across her neck and upper back. He would slump forwards with his chin sunk onto his chest if he fell asleep. This isn't ideal at all. As she pulls the slack up and wider across her shoulders, his whole body position alters. He comes up higher and closer, bringing his centre of gravity closer to hers and the top part of the panel provides more support. #babywearingsupport #babywearingtips #babywearing #slingsafety #carryingmatters #integrababy #puddleduck #slingspot
