Becoming Real with Alice (Sunless 97) - 'Slow Memory'

Aptly titled, 'Slow Memory' is a ponderous release of a familiar sounding melody. It's a r&b tune, exotically instrumented with some warm ghost vocals by Alice from Sunless 97. As the song wanders, self-harmonies intertwine with plucked Japanese strings and lingering digital notes by Toby Ridler, bka Becoming Real. 

Last summer Becoming Real dusted Des’ree’s ‘Kissing You’ in dense creepiness for his Fact mix. More recently he gave an ode to London city's crazy spring blizzards with 'Snow Drift Love' - the opening track to his Solar Dreams/Neon Decay EP/mini-album. 

'Slow Memory' is from that same mini-album, out now via Not Even/Moshi Moshi. The night-nature video below is directed Matthew Reed from Beckton Alp Cinema.
