メロウと言うかスムーズと言うか

もはや梅雨です。今年も来てしまいました。雨は鬱陶しいので嫌いなんですけど、降らなきゃ降らないで困るし、前回も書きましたけど、なるべく家でのんびり過ごせればと思います。なんて書いてますけど、私めちゃめちゃ外出てます。何を隠そう只今、福岡にいます。なぜ福岡かといえば、、、そうです、ベイスターズの応援をしにわざわざ福岡まで来てしまいました。交流戦で昨年も北海道に行ったんですけどね。なんか、遠征の喜びを知ってしまいまして。はい、今年も来ました。ドーム球場なんで雨の日も安心です。（ハマスタは不安です。）

こっちの話の方が面白そうではあるんですが（ちょいちょいベイスターズの話題が出てきますけど、一応、野球ブログではないので)今回も最近買ったCDの紹介をしたいかと思います。

Where The Mind Wanders Slowe

この、かわいいピンクのジャケットから想像するに、女性ボーカルは間違いないところなんですが、ポップなサウンドを想像してしまいますが、結構中身はメロウと言うかスムーズと言うかクールというか色々あると思いますけど、そんな感じです。

Slowe は、イギリスで活動されているプロデューサー、ソングライター、マルチインストゥルメンタルプレイヤーってことらしいです。要は曲作って歌から演奏から全部一人でやってるってやつですな。それで、このクオリティですもんね。爪の垢を頂けたら、煎じて飲ませて頂きたいと強く思います。前回紹介したSkinshapeとかも同じっちゃ同じですね。

サウンド的には、さらにその前に紹介したCatpackとかに近い感じ。ネオソウルとか言われるカテゴリーなんでしょうかね。もう少しわかりやすく言えば、力みが無い宇多田ヒカルみたいな感じでしょうか。んんんなんか、全然違う気がする！（じゃあ、書くなって）

素敵。いい感じ。何も考えずにぼんやり聞けるし、結構オーソドックスなギターソロだったりあまり奇をてらってない構成、アレンジだったりしているところが好感が持てます。でも、やっぱり最近のフォーマットなので、10曲で30分ちょっと。いや、でも聞けば聞いただけ発見もあってなかなか好盤だと思います。満足な１枚です。

こんな感じで2週間に１回のペースで載せてます。次回は6/28or29頃にUPする予定です。 その手前の6/22（日）の白楽NAPのライブの方もよろしくお願いします！

Slowe releases new single ‘Lunar’

Bristol-based producer Slowe releases her second single ‘Lunar’. Following multi-instrumentalist and producer Slowe’s debut single ‘WYLTK’, ‘Lunar’s dreamlike soundscape and soulful vocals shows the full range of her songwriting and production instincts.

‘Lunar’ see’s Slowe further carving out her sound, delivering a delicately arranged neo-soul inspired production with an enchanting blend of pianos, flute, and wistful vocals. Recorded and produced in her spare-room studio, Slowe created as much of the song herself as she could, playing all the parts except bass and mixing the track. Wanting to push her production and songwriting out of her comfort zone, Slowe challenged her usual musical habits, in order to maintain a sense of curiosity for herself and her listeners.

On the song’s subject, Slowe says ‘Lunar’ is about the personal growth she went through in order to start sharing her music. “Before I released my first song, I had a sort of mental barrier in which I didn’t think I could ever really finish and release a song that I was proud of. I’d been making songs for years, but never had the courage to share anything.”

‘Lunar’ encapsulates the feeling that you’re holding back from your full potential, Slowe explains “one of the biggest forces in my life has been a fear of regret, in ‘Lunar’ I'm writing about that feeling, when you wonder if you’ve done enough, and wonder if you’ve wasted too much time”.
