Anti-fujoshi and TERFs: TERFs decided to use the term 'fujoshi' to refer to trans men attracted to other men, because they already had insulting terms for trans women but didn't have enough for trans men. They used it because 'fangirl' culture is already seen as such a bad thing. People read their posts about how terrible 'fujoshi' were, assumed they were true, and applied a meaning they agreed with. Then, so they didn't get called TERFs, added 'no TERFs' to their copy-pastes.
That’s so weird because i follow a lot of radfem blogs, most who get called terfs for no other reason than being radfems and wanting women’s liberation from men, and i have never in all these years heard the term fujoshi come from them. Nor have i seen any of them against trans men, or against fangirl culture because--like any human on this site--they are fangirls of plenty of things. I’ve always seen them sticking up for trans men, allowing trans men into female festivals, and especially reach out to help trans men due to the BIG health problems some take when transitioning (binding, cancer risk to testosterone, hysterectomies).
It’s bizarre. You sure you don’t just mean transphobic/homophobic people instead of blaming radical feminists, many of which are poc, lgb, or detransitioned?
