It had been a long night, in both a positive and negative way. The last thing Cubby wanted was any drama between friends to break out, especially when it was two people he’d be caught between. It was hard to agree with Tink’s side — he knew Slightly well enough to know that there was no way he purposely held bad-intentions. After Slightly and Cubby’s brief disagreement recently, Cubby knew better that Slightly would never let a love-interest come between friends.

He felt bad for Slightly because of this, glad to see him in their room already in bed as the party finally died out. Cubby had flopped onto his own bed as they briefly discussed what happened, body still buzzing from the alcohol and the edible he’d consumed. He was feeling pretty good though — almost as if he were floating. He probably could’ve fallen asleep peacefully rather quickly if Slightly hadn’t caught his attention again. He sat up, glancing up toward the top bunk but not able to see Slightly’s face from where he was. Typically, he’d say yes without hesitation to lay with Slightly, something they’d done plenty of times in the past, but climbing up the latter in his current state seemed a little dangerous. He breathed out a chuckle as he replied, “Sure, I can try.” Clumsily getting up and making his way up the latter, he somehow managed to make it beside his best friend, laying beside him in an almost curled-up position so they would both fit. “You alright, buddy?” @slightlyconceited

Sly Cooper and The Gang in: "Sly 2: Band of Thieves"

Sly AU where the Gang decided to play it smart and become hired hands for Interpol. They still do crimes and dumb shit, but it's for Interpol's sake when they can't legally take back stolen items or a criminal tries to gain power within the system.

Sly and Carm are the trope of "begrudging cop buddies" so when they get really mad at each other, they use Bentley and Murray as messengers.

This gets better in Sly2 when the India episodes conclude and Neyla tries to frame Carmelita for working with the Cooper Gang but Carm is all:

Carmelita: Um.. yes, I do work with them? The Cooper Gang has been working with Interpol since 2001. And I've been their caseworker from the very beginning.

Neyla: ... They're with Interpol.

Carmelita: YES. DID YOU NOT READ THE BRIEFING CHIEF BARKLEY GAVE YOU?

Neyla: ... So this whole time I've helped them-

Carmelita: ... YOu- Let me get this straight-

Bentley, over walkie-talkie: Can I come down now?

Carmelita: Hang on Tortuga- You helped the Cooper Gang despite not reading the briefings that said the Cooper Gang were hired to help us.

Neyla: ...

Carmelita: Contessa, please take Constable Neyla back to HQ.

Contessa, tired of this shit: Noted.
