Satoshi’s limb designs and style reminds me of my favorite SUN&MOON animated Satoshi design.
I cannot wait to see how Kaki's dream of becoming a Kahuna is going, like seriously he's got the traits for it, no doubt! ❤️
Alolan Marowak, everyone!
Pocket Monsters Sun & Moon: Appreciation Week, Day 3: Favourite Pokémon from the Main Cast
Kaki/Kiawe’s Alolan Garagara/Marowak
A Pokémon I used to not bother much with, instantly became a fav of mine during its debut week, and grew to hold a deep tight spot in my heart (to the point where I ended up using Alolan Garagara in my LGE playthrough)! Kaki’s Garagara especially has so much personality, fits perfectly with a cool but dorky person like Kaki, and brings so much life to the show. I love pretty much everyone in the main Pokémon Cast (cough Mokuroh and Nagisa the Eevee cough), but Garagara shines through to Top 1 spot.
I legit forgot what Kaki's goal was, but SM034 explained it well. He wants to become a strong trainer capable of understanding Pokemon's hearts and being able to protect. Basically, strong like a Kahuna his grandpa was. Burn hot like the Wela Volcano. Big dream, just like Satoshi's dream of Pokemon Master. :D
And right away I must say, I love how Sun & Moon is exploring different types of family relationships. Namely, Kaki's passed grandfather. Kaki mentions how he admired his grandfather, and is often remembering things he once said to Kaki, and how he wanted him to put the Wela Crown on his Pokemon's head. I don't think he ever said specifically that he passed on, but it's implied heavily with him being the past kahuna before Lychee, and with other kids behaving in sort of a... respecting way towards a passed man? Kaki clearly respected the old man. I'm not sure this kind of relationship has been explored before? Has it? If it has, I can't remember right away, but I really love that Sun & Moon is exploring such area. It makes the show more.... human.
