This is sort of a au of a au since this is between the time of Biohazard and Village. Wesker survives only because ouroboros kicked itself into overdrive as a last ditch attempt to keep itself alive by healing and saving the host, only to end up burning itself up and leaving Wesker alive and some what stable but losing ouroboros in the process. To kill time Wesker goes into hiding to recover from the events of re5 and the loss of his abilities and resources.

With the inability to move forward with his plans he comes to a stand still, so he continued to keep tabs on people or relevant special forces, with Ada’s help of course (Chris and the BSAA being one of them) as everyone tryed to forget about him over the years.

Chris becomes infected via bite from a creature that strangely looks like a beast from folklore and legend during a field mission, weather this is a new development that went unnoticed or an animal infected with the worst of the virus he didn’t know. Slowly he becomes more infected and try’s to hide it from the others as best as possible. Though the infection seems slower than what Chris usually sees, symptoms are quickly changing him and he knows it. He starts to struggle to recall some nights, but he knows exactly what happened, for the taste of blood staining his tongue and teeth are unmistakable.

Chris’s condition and struggle to regain control catches Wesker’s attention, he reveals himself to Chris and quote on quote offers a “helping hand” with suspiciously no strings attached. With no other choice and out of fear of losing his humanity he excepts Wesker’s help. After all anyone else that was involved and specialized in bioengineering either worked for the worst of the worst or died.

And from there one gains humanity as the other struggles to keep their own….

xavier is the quiet healer.

i wanted to share a fleeting thought that came to me after the recent pv, and perhaps, other little stars will see themselves in this too. beyond my excitement, i find myself struggling to articulate how profoundly comforting xavier's character is.

as someone who has always been the strong one ( i.e. the listener, the advisor, the big sister, the caretaker of everyone else's feelings ), i often hide my own inner struggles. not that people don't care, but rather, as a hypersensitive person, i tend to think my emotions are too overwhelming to burden others with. yet, deep down, i know i have always craved a sanctuary, a shoulder to rest my forehead against, a presence that allows me to sigh deeply and simply exist without the weight of the world ( or my perception of it ) on my shoulders.

i realized that xavier is exactly that sanctuary.

xavier was not my expected choice. i usually gravitate towards characters like zayne ( i.e. artem, jumin or lucifer ). xavier is ironically nothing like them, but i chose him almost naturally. to me, xavier is mc-coded in the typical shonen sense but not quite, because he reminds me of ichigo ( bleach )—his gentle humanity, around orihime specifically.

xavier possesses a soft, comforting emotional intelligence that is deeply grounding, evident in memory cards like heartbeats ablaze, where a casual conversation shifts into life-altering wisdom :

whatever you thought mattered... maybe it's not as important as you believed.

it felt like the writing team was speaking to us directly. for someone with an all-or-nothing mindset like mine, the idea of stepping back often feels like quitting. xavier teaches us differently. he shows us that escaping isn't about abandoning our lives or ourselves—it's about evading our intrusive thoughts just enough to find ourselves again.

Okay no drawings today but I do have a headcanon to share

So Boons are magic and witchcraft based right?? So what do you mean someone like Jonah Vasquez has one? 🤔

My personal headcanon is that this guy literally figured out how to do magic with mathematical formulas and equations since things work differently in the entities realm. Plus I just like the idea of magic going hand in hand with science and math rather than being opposites :)

Like can you imagine Mikayla and Sable talking about their witchcraft and boons and then Jonahs like "oh that sounds really similar to (insert mathematical theory)" and later applied said theory and discovered he can do magic.

Just a funny thought, plus Jonah comes off to me as a wild card, he's book smart and athletic and his three perks help with gens, chase and healing. Three categories that are important to the trials, so maybe he's a little unpredictable but maybe that's my favoritism speaking 💅

Also a small announcement, I won't be posting as often as I wish I could since I'm now a full time college student working a full time job. But that won't stop me from getting a couple posts out every now and then for all you Jonah, king and dbd fans out there (at least the few of you that support my delusions and this silly blog 😝)
