One bite left.. that's how it all started. I've had so, so many people over the last few years ask me how I've lost the weight and it all starts with one bite left. At my heaviest 9 years ago, I was 359.6 pounds. I knew I needed to do *something,* but I was unsure where to begin. I had tried fad diets before... they didn't work. Starving myself wasn't an option... I mean, we all need food, lol. Joining a gym was out of the question... my ankle was still busted (2 torn tendons, 2 torn ligaments, torn cartilage). I simply started this whole journey by leaving one bite of food left on my plate at each meal. It seemed so inconsequential at the time, but soon I realized, it was *everything.* Not only do all those bites add up, but I figured out I didn't need to "clean my plate" to be satisfied... I didn't need the whole bag of chips, the whole carton of ice cream, the whole pizza... Once I became used to leaving one bite left (think around a month or two), I started leaving two bites left. Eventually that turned into smaller portions to start, and I would repeat the process until I got to proper portions. Over the years I've added exercise to the mix, learned tremendously more about nutrition, and many other habits I've adapted... but I always come back to one bite left. So many times we feel we need to make drastic changes to see dramatic results, but small steps in the right direction will get you there! #weightloss #motivation #goals #transformation #transformationeveryday #halfmysize #dontevenrecognizemyself #180poundsgone #andcounting #190poundsgone #200poundgone #200poundclub #200poundslost #neverquit #worthit #instafit #fitfam #happy #healthy #beforeandafter #beforeandafterweightloss #weightlossjourney #weightlosstransformation #redhead #walk #fitness #neverlookingback #transformationtuesday #smallchangesaddup #onebiteleft
