First-ever DNA recovered from extinct miniature elephants of Sicily. The dwarf elephant lost about 440 pounds and four centimeters per generation on average before finally shrinking down to a height of 6 feet tall and weight of 1.7 tons. These dwarf elephants were the size of Shetland ponies.

Thunderbird 1 and hangar progress: Here's my palm tree sample... Simply a plastic rod 7 - 8 cm in length wrapped in a strip of sticky backed paper. Hit with grey primer and a dove grey chalk spray paint and then Vallejo paints to colour. The leaves were simply cut out on sticky backed paper and then a piece of florist wire placed down the centre and then stuck to a standard piece of paper.
