fic rec! 13K Ineffable Husbands, post show.

Summary: After the world didn’t end, Aziraphale indulges in spending time with Crowley. Part of that is praying on his behalf. Show him mercy. Show him he is loved.

Comments: I love this fic. Aziraphale is softly protective here, no so much saving Crowley from threats but doing what he can for Crowley’s self-worth and self-love. That ranges from his prayers to God to telling Anathema to change her wedding venue so it’s not a church (though the Them apparently beat him to it). It’s all so soft and lovely.

writing is always good! it doesn't matter if you show it to people or not (though i'd always be happy to read it) it just matters that you're writing because that means your practicing! and if you practice, you always, always get better. it's so important to practice, even if it's just for yourself. i do that, too.

this is very true! i do enjoy writing, i wouldn’t stop, even if i did post it and everyone hated it lol. sometimes i even read it back and actually like what i’ve written. idk. it’s definitely good to write for yourself, i just wish i had the confidence in my writing to share it as well.

“Do not,” Patrick starts, “fucking touch me.”

Pete pouts, bottom lip stick out and glancing up through his eyelashes, dark and playful but still sick enough to have Patrick scooting a few more inches from him on the couch. Pete follows.

“Come on, ‘Trick,” Pete slurs, falling forward until he’s sprawled across Patrick’s lap, and Patrick’s not sure if it’s the cold medicine, snuffed nose, or signature Pete Wentz charm that makes the words come out a stilted where they’re usually smooth. “I’m sick. What about the whole ‘in sickness and health’ thing.”

“We’re not married,” Patrick grits out, but he takes pity and doesn’t move away. Pete buries his face in his lap, lips moving against Patrick’s thigh. Patrick knows it’s the cold medicine when Pete moans something like yet into his shirt.

7: Where did the title come from?

it's from what a catch, donnie!

specifically the line: said i'll be fine til the hospital or american embassy. the original title was actually 'said i'll be fine til the hospital', but it seemed better shortened, so.

idk if i have a great reason why i chose that line, except i was listening to wacd while writing chapter one and it seemed to fit.

oh Make No Mistake, i’m making this comparison as a compliment. Devin’s a teddy bear who would absolutely let you vent to him after a stressful day and would then help you complete your rewards in Pokemon Go, that the Aesthetic i’m getting off of Patrick rn. Soft. Gentle. Wearing a Swablu like a hat. Warm.

And you wanna know what sucks! I say this as a Maroon 5 fan! I know all their damn names unironically! I appreciated that Songs About Jane medley and the glowy orbs during She Will Be Loved. I did my time waiting for It Won’t Be Soon Before Long, that album gap betwee SaJ and that album lasted longer than fob’s hiatus. Fuckin hell; Kiwi, Hands all Over, and Tickets are still bops!

but god. the quality of maroon 5 just. slowly declined when they became a Singles band rather than an Album band. V wasn’t that great of an album (feeEEEELLLIINNNGSSSS) and there’s no way in hell I’m going to download an album called ‘red pill blues.’ i know damn well that maroon 5 was trying to reference the Matrix and doesn’t know the context of red pill in the 2010s, but regardless.
