It’s my study blog’s first Birthday!

THANK YOU ALL FOR FOLLOWING ME!

It’s been a year since I created this studyblr. I couldn’t imagine I’d gain 5.3 K followers in less than one year, back then. I’m duly flattered you guys enjoy my study blog. I hope we’ll keep inspiring and supporting one another, cause that’s what thing whole studyblr community shall be about, in my opinion. Study motivation is the key but so is determination. I find it nice that the majority of us posts their own advice and study/motivation/productivity tips. 

The thing is, not all the people who have a studybr actually enjoy studying which others tend to forget. I personally don’t really like studying as memorizing stuff and revising notes... Honestly, it bores me. I like note-taking, watching Crash Course. I enjoy learning vocabulary very much sometimes... I was kinda obsessed with duolingo for a while I’m going to my first semester of my very first year at university pretty soon which means I’m going to study new subjects. I’ve been trying to start liking studying aka memorizing information but I haven’t been able to enjoy it... maybe I will be able to enjoy it at uni. Who knows. However, I’m a good student. My loved ones consider me smart. Anyway, my point is you can be an excellent student even if you hate studying and you’re notes are messy, you’re study spo is a total chaos, you don’t always make a to-do list, your room is a mess, you cry at least once per week due to stress... You may love your studyblr and have a popular one even though you don’t enjoy studying at all.

  1.Favourite place you’ve been to?

Can I just say bed? Country-wise, I loved Iceland when we went there on a geography trip, and I so badly wanna go back and maybe see the Northern Lights this time.

2.What’s your star sign?

I’m a Scorpio but all the typical traits don’t really fit me (I’m right on the cusp, so I’d more fit Sagittarius)

3.Talk about the last film you watched.

I FINALLY watched Into The Woods last night and I think I’m in love. It’s such a great film and the songs are sooo beautiful.

4.Do you have/want any pets?

My family has five fish, but I’m helping look after my grandparents’ dog at the moment as my grandfather is ill and my grandmother is very frail. Their staffie is just too adorable and I love her. In the future I’d love to have my own dog <3

5.What’s your favourite breakfast food?

Recently I’ve discovered a cheaper own-brand version of Special K and it wakes me up in the morning and makes me just want to work right away! When I’m having a more relaxed day, I’ll have a Nutella and peanut butter toast-sandwich :3

6.Which colours do you wear the most?

I really like dark green as it accentuates my eyes (plus it’s the only zip-up jumper I own, whoops)

7.What was the best part of your day?

I walked the dog today and she was a really good girl for me and didn’t try to go into random houses (she knows which house has rabbits and often tries to pull us into their open garage XD), then we cooked a roast dinner for my grandparents.

8.Pasta, rice, noodles or bread?

I love noodles so much, though I eat more pasta than is probably healthy

9.Describe the first person that pops into your head.

My best mate Ena is amazing and my favourite person in the world. She has really long black hair that’s always messy so she has an awesome hat collection and never goes out without one. She’s really smart and is a massive fangirl. She’s really good at DT and computing and I’m really gonna miss her when we go to uni next year.

10.What does your url mean?

I’m doing a degree in astrophysics next year and this is my studyblr to help me get there, hence the name!

11.Favourite actor/actress?

This is hard, as I don’t really watch much in the terms of TV and film, but I’m obsessed with Merlin, so I’ll have to say Colin Morgan or anyone else in that :D

Have you made any friends through your studyblr?

Hmm, not yet. I talked to a few people here, but I haven’t really made “friends” here. Though I would love to, I’m just generally shy to talk to people hehe.

What quote has impacted you the most?

This one is hard!! And to think I kept a small journal of quotes when I was in undergrad. But anyway, I had a teacher in high school who always said “Dare to be different. Dare to take a risk.” It seemed like a good quote then, quite generic but easy to grasp. But I think I never really lived it until now. I’ve always been the good kid, the average kid who didn’t really make efforts to stand out. I was content in my world. It wasn’t until I consciously and actively exposed myself to something beyond my comfort zone (being part of an LGBT organization, most members of which were loud gay guys, and being more open about my sexuality) that I actually became more comfortable about who I am. :)
