5, 9, 11, 18 for our boy! 💖
(You don't have to answer them all, I just couldn't decide for three aaah)
Thank you!! :D I’m sorry for taking so long; I wanted to answer them all! I love talking about our boy ^^
5: Guilty Pleasures
Reading children’s adventure stories. While Clive puts on the appearance of being Extremely Serious and “unlike Luke, not a child,” he’s always had a fondness for adventure stories. Narnia, E. Nesbit, and Tolkien are some of his favourites that he never outgrew. They remind him of a happier time. Also, he’s not exactly embarrassed by it, but Clive is a huge tea nerd; don’t ever ask him for his opinions on tea, because he’ll never stop talking.
9: Humiliating Memories
One time, maybe during Clive’s second year with Constance, Constance had to go to the hospital. It “wasn’t serious,” Spring and Cogg said, but Clive didn’t believe that. If it wasn’t serious, she would be allowed to stay at home. He wasn’t able to sleep that night, and, finally, decided that he needed to go visit her and make sure she was alright. He was too young to drive, and he didn’t know where the hospital was, but he’d manage. He wound up getting horribly lost. It was the middle of the night, and raining, and he was completely, totally lost, and he was so sure that something terrible was going to happen to Constance.
Thankfully, somebody (Clive can’t remember who; he was too deep in panic at the time) was able to calm him down and helped him get to a phone where he was able to call Spring and Cogg, and, when they came to pick him up, the three of them made a trip to see Constance that night. Constance was alright after a few days and came home soon, so the memory ended happily, but Clive still remembers the awful feeling of that panic and how embarrassed he was to have someone see him in that kind of state.
11: Bad or Petty Habits
So many… for one thing, Clive refuses to try anything new if he’s not sure that he’ll be able to do it perfectly. It’s very all-or-nothing with him; he has to be an expert at everything that he tries, or else he won’t try it at all. Also, he often purposely doesn’t sleep because he “doesn’t have time for that.” After Constance died, everything Clive did and thought about was related to his goal of taking down Bill Hawks, which eventually escalated to a plan to destroy London. Because of this, he really didn’t take care of himself, pushing himself past his limits to get the job done as quickly as possible. It didn’t matter to him what happened after that, as long as the goal was accomplished.
18: Things they’ll never admit
Clive wasn’t able to admit that Constance was a mother to him until it was too late. He wishes that he’d admitted it earlier. He’s trying not to make that same mistake with other people he cares about, but he finds it so hard to be that vulnerable with anybody.
Another thing that he wants to admit but can’t is how sorry he is for everything. It would be easy to say the word “sorry,” but he’s sure that nobody will believe it, and that it won’t be enough. Clive refuses to do things by halves, so he “can’t” say sorry until he fixes everything (which, of course, is impossible). That’s something that he and Layton wind up (gently) arguing about quite a bit when Layton visits him after UF; Layton thinks that small steps are better than nothing, like putting a puzzle together one piece at a time, but Clive thinks it all has to be done at once, but doesn’t know how to go about it.
Here's a unique ask (hopefully, sorry if you've gotten it before)! Who are some of your fav OCs of fellow Sonic artist?
This is a unique question!
I really like @smilesfps-art ‘s Fashtel and Skyward.
Great designs, nicely defined personalities and their story is very sweet!
Knockabiller has quite a talent at designing OC family members for the Main characters but I particularly like Remix and Claire.
They’re funny and have cool features while not looking too much like their son (Silver) so they feel like their own persons who have adventures separate of him.

Luke stops, eyes shining. “I just hope that I’m still like you, when I get older.”
Clive can’t keep from giving Luke’s shoulder a pat. “I’m sure you will. And I wish I’d retained your ability to see things so positively. A touch of optimism works wonders in times like these.”
This is my entry for a monsters design contest, which I did not win. Adapted an idea I had for a while, so this is, basicly, mercury in a bottle. We all love to play with it!
Best of luck today! You will do great!
thanks! the appointment’s tomorrow so I’ll apply this message then lol! I’ll be signing the informed consent papers and be given my prescriptions. it’s supposed to last an hour and a half, so it’ll be a ton of info. I’m really excited to learn it.
