Honor - Prologue
So recently, I met someone on Tumblr, The Boombox. We started talking and bounced around ideas of what could have happened if Dreadwing lived. This is what we got.
Next
Most of the events leading up to his death remain the same.
He still gives the Forge to the Bots and still turns down Optimus’s offer of joining them
Though the bots and Cons don’t immediately go to Cybertron for the Omega Lock
In this AU, the Space Bridge isn’t finished yet, and to convert the Groundbridge into one, they need some more materials
But, when Dreadwing’s about to kill Starscream, Megatron just bearly misses his spark chamber and the shot doesn’t go clean through his chest
Megatron has Soundwave ground bridge Dread’s body into the middle of nowhere to leave him to die
In Autobot base, they get a new energon reading, where Smokey is sent to find it
He instead finds Dreadwing’s “corpse”
Smokescreen being Smokescreen doesn’t call back to base and instead goes to check it out
Dreadwing is, in fact, NOT dead and is just barely conscious
Then Decepticons show up
Smokey fights them off best he can, much to Dreadwing’s surprise
He’s even a little shocked that Smokey is trying to save him
But, Smokey is very clearly struggling, so he calls back to base
Autobots arrive, see Smokey fighting and a seemingly dead Dreadwing, and put two and two together
They quickly make work of the massive squadron of Vehicons, since it is no longer 1 vs 30
The Autobots debate about what to do with Dreadwing, before eventually deciding to take him back to base
Phew, that was quite a lot of writing. I’ll be adding more Autobot Dreadwing posts in the future, so just sit tight.
