@beehyve said: I’d say God Bless you, but it looks like he already did. (From Lisia.)
“Well that explains why I have angel like you in life, right? Blessed, well-dressed and never showing distress~! Our brand!”
Hairflips for emphasis!

I don’t owe anyone an explanation for liking or not liking something, in terms of fictional works I enjoy. I’ll tag stuff if it’s a legitimate trigger for my followers, but if you’re one of those people that’s like “if you like [x series] you condone of [y problematic thing]”, feel free to just block me. I don’t like being guilt tripped. Nobody does.
I realize this is coming from a place of privilege, but seriously, you can just block someone. There’s no need to make a big fuss over people’s fandoms.
@beehyve wants to battle!
“This looks like it’ll be interesting!”
I'd like to see a headcanon about Leo's childhood, how he grew up, and what life was like for him!
People came and went in Team Snagem. New people joined the gang, looking for somewhere to belong, or somewhere to make money when nobody else would hire them. Established members would one day just stop turning up at the hideout, or would get too tired and banged up to stick with the running crew, or in a couple of cases they’d retired the hard way.
The new ones usually opened with the same question, or a facsimile of it: “What’s with the kid?”
It wasn’t uncommon to see teenagers in the gang. It was uncommon to see a pre-teen. Leo had grown up in that tetanus trap, and had his body’s first scars early. No heart-wrenching stories, just the normal wounds of childhood, made worse by unsafe conditions. Shredding his skin on jagged metal in a junk heap. Burns on his hands from touching something that didn’t look hot, like the engine of a car on blocks.
The longest-lasting scar was a long one, an intense burn on the side of his neck. A lifer named Eblet was lazy but fancied himself the teaching type; a trait combination that led him to trying to teach Leo welding at eight years old. And provided no safety gear at all aside from a single heat proof glove.
It hadn’t gone great. In fact, the torch had ignited while Leo was damn near staring directly into it. But he was quick, and only needed quick medical attention and a couple of days to rest.
Gonzap was well-known for his high blood pressure, and everyone in the gang at the time remembered his mouth opening so wide while he was yelling that it looked like he could bite Eblet’s head clean off.
The lesson a kid takes from a day like that is that your failure gets other people in trouble. It weighed heavy on him, for a long time, and coupled badly with Gonzap’s complaining about the cost of keeping a child fed.
Oops, my hand slipped. OrreSquad, DM me for links if you wanna hop in.
