It’s a secret and he’ll keep it that way for as long as he can until the love has faded and gone but Sihyun loves Arlo. Much like many others on the island, he’s absolutely taken with the boy and he has been since meeting him in Barcelona after being kicked out by his parents. It started as just sex and then it became comfort and then something more for Sihyun. He has no delusions about it, though and he knows its a dead end and he’s actually quite happy with just being friends with Arlo the way they are now. He knows love doesn’t have to be reciprocal and that it’s enough to just give. And he wasn’t meant for love, at least not for this one anyways, and he’s okay with that. @superpcsitions

🔪 …someone my muse hurt in the past.

It was a mutual hurt, but Sihyun hurt Florian nonetheless. A week or so of radio silence from his best friend after what was the scariest day of his life almost broke him but he knows not being there for Flo afterwards had to have hurt more. Florian and him had shared everything, had known each other like no one else had because they lived paralel lives. And then it was all gone and a hole was left in Sihyun’s chest that no one could fill and it was all his fault. He could find 1000 new friends, not one would be Florian. He could imagine 1000 different ways he could’ve handled the situation and none of them would change anything. He doesn’t regret most things in his life, but he does regret not keeping a promise he’d made to his best friend, his brother, to this day. @floagreste

👪 …someone in my muse’s family.

Sihyun has completely distanced himself from his biological family, never having felt love and comfort and warmth he knows a family should provide. Found family is more important to him, anyway. Family that you choose, that you love, who loves you back and makes you feel true comfort is more important to him. Imagine his surprise when he finds that in a girl he’s only known for a few months. Ara is like the little sister he never had, not his biological family but one he has chosen himself. He loves her to bits and would do anything for her. He never got a chance to be a big brother, not really, and he takes this new role very seriously. @aramintiax

honestly, it’s probably kind of fucked up but ara is one of his best friends. sure, they dated in the past and there might still be some unsettled feelings between them but beyond all of that awkwardness, arlo still loves their friendship and considers her one of his closest friends. an elderly woman in the amalfi coast. she owned a bakery there and arlo ducked in once while it was storming, and his poetry book had gotten soaked. the store was about to close and she fed him, placed his book over the heater to dry, and he practiced his italian with her for hours. he’s convinced he got struck by lightning that night and imagined the whole thing.

♡: accidentally falling asleep together

IT WAS AFTER a particularly heavy brunch that arlo and cat had indulged in at the bed and breakfast. maybe a few too many mimosas were consumed but one thing had lead to another and arlo took it upon himself to give cat an unofficial tour of the place she had once called home, just for old times’ sake. he had brought her into her old room, too, which hadn’t changed much aside from the repainted walls and an addition of this beautiful painting of the sunset on the water. he even refers to it as cat’s room, though it’s been a long time since the room has been dubbed such. the pair ended up on the bed, just laying down and reminiscing before they fell asleep with their legs hanging over the edge of the mattress.
