Spin a sakkri spread
As yall know, I was obsessed with Hawksong and the rest of the Kiesha'ra as a kid. So when I found this write up the author did of the ahnleh, I knew I had to turn it into a tarot spread.
My Spin a Sakkri spread is good for immediate advice on a current decision or problem you're facing. The she card frames the present moment, the point of decision. o'she reveals a past point that is still influencing the present. a'she is one of many possible futures. Ahnmik illuminates that which binds you, freezes you, or perhaps stabilizes you. Anhamirak liberates, burns, and sparks change. And the Free Will card speaks to how you can impact the course of sheni, the ever-flowing line of time as it marches through Mehay.
If all of that made actual sense to you, congratulations, you're a nerd :P Come talk to me about having your own sakkri spun, and come check out all of my other spreads on my ko-fi page.

I’ve been dying to draw these two since I started re-reading the Kiesha’ra book series!
Kiesha and Maeve, the OG lesbian snake priestesses!
Send Me a Series: Kiesha’ra
@raevenlywrites It has been done.
Favorite character : Hai Cobriana
Second favorite character : Nicias, ironically.
Least favorite character : Off the top of my head, possibly Zane because his pov is my least favourite book. But I honestly don’t know.
The character I’m most like : The ot3 agreement was Danica.
Favorite pairing : Hai pegs Nicias, do not try to change my mind.
Least favorite pairing : Rei/Danica. Rei does some things I dislike. This changes when Zane is added to the mix, though.
Favorite moment : From FalconDance: Of eternity, of silence, of coldness, of stillness. Of Ecl. He who dwells with Ecl knows of void. He who dwells with Ecl knows of death. But he who dances with Ecl, he is lost, for he who dances with Ecl brings to life the world of death. So dance.
Rating out of 10 : 10. WolfCry is my favourite book.
éTitle: Falcondance (#3 of the Kiesha’ra series)
Author: Amelia Atwater-Rhodes
Genre: Fantasy, Young Adult, Romance, and Adventure
Synopsis: (via Goodreads)
Nicias has never felt completely at home among the avians and serpiente in Wyvern's Court, despite his loyalty to Oliza Shardae Cobriana, the heir to both thrones. He is a falcon, the son of two exiles from Anhmik and images of this distant island have always haunted his dreams. But when Nicias's visions become more like reality, his parents have no choice but to send him back to the homeland and a royal falcon they've tried their best to forget. If Araceli won't bind Nicias's newfound magic, it could destroy him. In a place where everyone is a pawn, only one other woman has the potential to save Nicias. But she holds the keys to a dangerous power struggle that will force Nicias to choose between his duty and his destiny.
Review:(Spoiler Free)
This book is another amazing story by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes with excitement and magic, twist and turns throughout the plot and wonderfully constructed characters. Her world of shapeshifters continues to expand, reflect it’s inhabitants and enthrall readers with each addition.
The writing of this book provokes thoughts and imagery in the reader’s mind so strongly that you feel almost as though you are a part of the story. The whole story is told from Nicias’ (main character) point of view, which gives us a somewhat different take on the Falcons and the people of Anhmik. We also get experience the falcons magic and understand more about how it works.
So far we have been told that Anhmik is beautiful and secretive, but now we get to see it and experience it’s magic, beauty, and cruelty. There are cunning plots and darkness throughout this pale and bright island. Imagery is very important and strong in this book, to the point where you can practically see this whole thing playback in your head like a movie.
Our two main settings have changed from this point in the series to the Wyvern’s Court and Ahnmik, allowing for new and old conflict to be discovered and delved into with detail and intrigue, making it almost impossible to put down
Comments: This book is just another example how a great story doesn’t have 300pages long, and really just reminded me of why I love her writing so much. Amelia Atwater- Rhodes is an extremely talented writer, and I personally enjoy her work so much and wish more people would give her books a chance.
