never thought I would agree but snaters are right snape was obsessed but not with lily rather than that he was obsessed with the guilt of lily's death blaming it on himself Dumbledore implied that snape wanted to get together with lily but if Severus wanted that he could have used many other methods lol snape had this idealized almost god like version of lily in his mind cause she was the only light in his life and when that light was gone he blamed himself.

Who do you hate more, Peter or Snape

Hate is a strong word 😅 I think Peter is less forgivable because he had multiple chances of doing what was right and more than once he choose to betray his friends; even in the end, he died for his lingering guilt, not by a brave act. I have many critics about Snape's redemption arc, but he did everything he could to atone his guilt, which is one step above.

...it's amazing how many stati? statuses I can think of posting here on the topic of Snape or Newt Scamander while I am busy cleaning or otherwise working, mostly when at other people's home (I clean for a living). It's like my imagination kicks in whenever I touch the rag or the broom and have to count hours for my wage and all my Snape thoughts and Newt musings floqt to the surface and evolve rapidly into meta and headcanons and feelings needing to be shared...and I just can't write them down because that'd be wasting/stealing work time...a waste indeed, because once I finish work and arrive home, all of it evaporates into the wizarding ether and...well...another chance of entertaining my followers is gone. Magic indeed...

so there is this post going around in snapedom which is yet another Marauders vs Snape debate and i don’t wanna reblog a wall of text with ppl getting salty but there was this one observation that i really liked that imo sums up really well why there’s in general always a lot of debate whether something qualifies as bullying or not, and it’s that a lot of ppl seem to think that bullying is “just kids being a bit rough and that if you do anything but ignore [as in, if you yourself start acting ‘a bit rough’], you’re engaging and share responsibility”, and i think this hit the nail right on the head, that some ppl don’t think that children can really be bullies because there’s a certain level of immaturity/insensitivity to be expected of them based on their age, so if a bullied child responds negatively to their bullying then they are exactly like their bullies “just acting out”, therefore in the eyes of adults without any first-hand experiences of bullying both parties are simply exhibiting age-typical behavior.

i adore the subtle touch in the prince's tale when severus shifts from calling her "lily evans" to "lily potter." it's a small testament to just how much he changed over the years.
