My PR snatch at 200 lbs that I made a month ago. It feels good to be in the 200+ club. I know I still have a lot to work on, but I’m enjoying my progress.💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

AHAP Snatch & Clean, then 3x1 at 90%
Coach also wanted me only give myself 4 attempts above 90%. I missed my heavy snatch (75) from last week, but I still did my 90% sets at 65 because guess what there aren’t microplates at this gym and I need to be lifting heavy anyway.
I managed to clean 110 on the second try, and attempted 115 but did not get under it. RIP. Now that I am thinking back to it, I think I forgot to do my 3x1 for this.
WHY DO I KEEP FORGETTING TO DO THINGS AT THE GYM LATELY HOLY SHIT
4x5 push-ups and pull-ups with the purple band
Then to Crossfit for:
trying to hit a 1RM snatch. I whined to Clark about my snatches from earlier, so he set me up on an EMOM 10 at 55. But then he sneak-attacked me and was like “You’re at least going to hit 75 today,” and had me take two 10lb jumps to get there. He then had me try to jump to 85, but I babied out and failed. So he was like “Put 5 on there and just lift it, Tawny.” And I managed to power it because I am incapable of snatching like a normal human being. So a snatch PR was had and I felt good.
Then WOD:
3 RFT
400m run
12 OHS (95 was Rx and I did 45 at Clark’s rec)
8:58
Fastest in the class but also would’ve been considerably slowed by actually heavy weight probably. I appreciated the chance to work on holding the overhead position though, and I made sure I did the sets unbroken. :insert sunglasses emoji here:
So shoutout to Clark for making me feel like a normal decent lifter again today.
Here's the snatch! 75lbs for a 5lb PR. Failed it twice beforehand (once as a power) before this attempt. For some reason I can't full snatch a weight without PSing it first which everyone tells me is Extremely Backwards from most people. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Snatch and Clean AHAP (75!!!, 110) 110 may be a clean PR but I literally can't remember. I know I failed a 110 jerk last week. Drop to 90% for a 3x1 (65, 95) I failed every single snatch and managed to power snatch 1x. Dropped to 55 and got one, moved on. Hit all the cleans even though the first one was sloppy. 4x5 push-up & DB rows (15) superset with the same number of pull-ups on a purple band
Also today I got a PR on my snatch! 😍
I know 95 lbs isn’t a lot to some people. But to me it was difficult and something I’ve been working up to. I tend to shy away from snatches because I’m scared to drop under them once they get on the heavier side. But I’m learning to be less afraid and pushing myself out of my comfort zone slowly. I’m so exited to see what I can get not only my snatch up to by the end of the year, but all my other lifts as well! 💪🏼
45kg*2 snatch! Weight AND reps PR!! :D
