Suppose snitches reader wakes up beside Adrian and, for one blissful moment, forgets that he’s her captor and she just knows she’s waking up warm and cozy in the arms of a hot guy… how bad would the emotional whiplash be?

Then reader has to dig herself outta that hole and be like oh no I had an unrelated nightmare not at all to do with you being a total whackjob...🙄

Here's a little snippet:

“I know I can't force you to love me! HAHAHA you should see the look on your face.” He pointed at your fearful now bewildered gaze, “it's about chemistry, I know that. I'm not a total psychopath or anything.” Adrian tipped his head back for a manic belly laugh.

“Of course not…” You joined along, trying your best to force a smile.

“Buuut you can prove that you totally won't reveal my secret and earn my trust.” He determined, thoughtfully rubbing his chin, “I can do that right?” Adrian wondered aloud, as if about to rescind his whole offer for you to live.

“DEFINITELY.” You insisted, “you're a great judge of character. After all Vigilante hunts and judges criminals every night on patrol!”

Playing into his ego and skewed logic seemed to work, Adrian was blushing with a silly grin spilling across his face.

Then he took you on a full tour of the dingy serial killer looking ass basement, leading you by the hand.

“I found my mom's old sewing machine down here too. I set up a little work station for you next to mine. Cute right?” He stared at you expectantly. “Super cute.” You quickly agreed.

“These are my beanie babies!” He announced, opening a closet filled head to toe with TY merchandise.

“I've been collecting them since 98, they're totally worth a fortune now, but I'm waiting till the market really bounces back. Same with my GameStop shares.”

“That's so smart of you, you sound really good with money.” You replied robotically.

“Nope! I'm flat broke, but that's late stage capitalism for you.” Adrian started to complain about his rent after moving out.

“If my rent isn't paid, my landlord will notice I'm gone.” You offered weakly.

“It's only a week, remember. I'll pay it.” Adrian replied, his grip on your wrist becoming a fraction tighter.

"As for where you'll sleep…I'd rather not have you in my mom's room. Guts old room is her pilates space and my old room is her art studio. So I dragged out the old spare bed, set it up for us to sleep down here.” He shrugged like it was no big deal.

"Thank you, I– wait for us to sleep here?” You winced.

“Boyfriends and girlfriends sleep in the same bed. Despite what old reruns of I Dream of Jeannie may claim.” Adrian informed you, as if he had only just learned that fact for himself quite recently.

On May 29, along with scores of others, John Mark Rozendaal responded to calls on social media to gather outside of Delaney Hall, the immigration detention facility in Newark, New Jersey. When Rozendaal went to Delaney Hall, he took his cello with him. “I consider music to be a de-escalatory thing to do,” he told The Intercept. “I sat down on the concrete barricade facing north and started to play.”

New Jersey State Police and ICE agents issued a dispersal order and began to clear protesters from the area by force — with officers deploying chemical weapons and charging protesters on horseback. “As I played, I saw this wall of plastic riot shields and cops in tactical gear advancing,” Rozendaal recalled. “There were tear gas canisters flying overhead. I could see horses behind the riot shields, flash-bangs. So it was quite dramatic.”

Moments later, Rozendaal was arrested by the New Jersey State Police and, according to an arrest report viewed by The Intercept, charged with one count of obstructing law enforcement. A week later, things took a strange turn when Rozendaal received a call from the FBI. “The agent said, ‘We’re calling because you were arrested at Delaney Hall,’” Rozendaal told The Intercept. In the following minutes, Rozendaal said the agents asked if he would be willing to provide the FBI with information on protesters that they described as “anybody planning to go to Delaney Hall with not the right intentions… So, I mean, they were asking me to inform,” Rozendaal said.

In the weeks since arrests began stacking up at the protests — approximately 90 people have been arrested so far — at least half of those taken into custody have received calls from federal agents looking for information, according to Benjamin Van Meter, a deputy public defender with the Essex County Public Defender’s Office who represents a number of protesters facing charges.
