Hi mom! Today I was talking to a friend about the possibility that Annie’s father was one of the people killed during Eren’s attack in Marley, and we were wondering how likely you thought that to be? Thank you!
It would be a shame to introduce his character only to have him die immediately offscreen. It’s always felt like he and Annie had some unfinished business.
I think personally think he escaped the theater, but I guess I could see it going either way. If (when?) Annie gets out of the crystal and one of the warriors informs her of her father’s death (or almost death) due to Eren’s attack, it would be a powerful emotional moment that would serve to motivate her. He can be dead or alive and it would have a similar effect. But I’m hoping alive. I’d love for them to have a moment together.
