I have it set to auto-download, along with other regular podcasts I listen to, so it’s been sitting there on my phone for several days as it usually goes I get around to it eventually... but ??? yeah I hadn’t heard anything about this one! which also wouldn’t be uncommon except that IT’S SUCH A BIG ONE HOLY SHIT... multiple powerful exchanges and epic scenes AND ONE IN PARTICULAR holy shit

@snoozlebee: I'm ESPECIALLY curious about this in regards to what we know about Odo's role in the occupation from that one flashback episode... it's super hard to reconcile his "i don't step on ants" thing w/ his more or less acting as a collaborator at one point, and even harder to reconcile his friendly relationship w/ Kira? I'm sure some of it is just the "let's make shit up as we go" nature of tv writing but.... I NEED TO KNOW

He and Kira worked all of that unpleasantness out in the Legendary Closet Of Reconciliation +8...just ask the writers!

Great point about Odo’s position on the station and the political awkwardness that would ensue as a result. Part of me wants to say that he and Quark would have somehow bonded over being outliers of a variety, but given their relationship in canon it is not likely that it would have lasted for long...maybe Odo was under a lot of professional pressure to meet an arrest quota and Quark’s mostly innocuous petty crime became a prime target overnight?

There’s so much potential in all these pre-canon scenarios!

wow. ball joint dolls have gotten EXCEPTIONALLY weird since I last looked at them!

I have been looking at them for over ten years, and thought, “oh, I’d like to have one of those, but not sure if any of them really speak to me for the money...”

And then I saw her.  And it was like all the air in my lungs was kicked out of me because she was made for me and it was like THIS IS IT THIS IS THE ONE. She legitimately terrifies people and I am in love with her.  Cannot wait to get to work on her~ <3

i havent listened to wtnv in a good while but i am INCREDIBLY INTRIGUED BY THIS CONCEPT, b/c, like, oh my god, what kind of… nightvale specific details creep into his fanfic? do fans of his fic stay awake at night trying to figure out what jumped out at them as Not Quite Right in otherwise (i assume) V WHOLESOME CUTE WRITING

RIGHT oh my god?!? like he’ll make very brief mentions of presences or things he’s just totally normalised living in night vale, like ritualistic howling, or entities crawling on ceilings in otherwise completely innocent fics he’s wrote for his fave westerns and every outsider is like “...why...?????”

though i love even down to his choices in what he writes about is just so Cecil in itself. like when he asks maureen to edit a fic, and she’s probably familiar with like MCU, or video game fandoms and the like. but nope! Jaws slash fic. to this day this concept STILL has me crackin up :’D
