"Fucking shit. Come on, you stupid fucking fuck." Dallas grumbled as he stared at the black screen boasting nothing but a blank battery, waiting for his phone to get enough batter to just turn on. He wasn't usually one to lose his temper. Today had really been trying him though. It was the first time he was flying out to meet them after their internship ended and they'd moved home. This was a big deal, but work had run late. He hadn't even had time to go home and change, still wearing a worn navy fire department tee, and he hadn't had time to charge his phone either. The stupid thing had died on the way to the airport. Before he'd even noticed. Before he'd gotten a chance to tell them that he was on the way and the flight had been delayed. How were they supposed to know where to meet him? What if they thought he'd ghosted, that he hadn't even boarded the flight in the first place? Standing anchored to the wall near baggage claim by his phone charger, he'd plugged into the first outlet he'd found, and his excitement to see them was fading as the sudden urge to rip his hair out hit. "Unfuckingbelievable," he sighed heavily and let his head fall back, staring at the ceiling but really just glaring at the heavens. "I know you hate me, but fuck you, asshole."
