Just running in a snow squall the day before Thanksgiving. Winter, you’re not gonna be easy this year are you? 🤔 A good reminder to soak in the more mild weather now while you can! ☺️😉 Winter Running Tip: set a threshold. Two winters ago I told myself I’d run outside as long as it was over 10 degrees. Otherwise I took it to the treadmill if I wasn’t feeling braver than the elements. Treadmill miles are real miles! Tumblr keeps eating my posts 😢

Colorado decided it needed a foot of super wet and heavy snow over the weekend. It’s chilly too, but not too bad of a temperature. And oh man the poor trees! All of them are damaged in some way if not completely knocked down!
So I ran today….
AND IT WAS AWESOME!
All my go to paths were covered in debris and obstacles, not to mention sometimes totally blocked, and it just made everything so fun! The mud, the slush, everything! My legs are so sore too.
Ahhhh.
This run gave me life and it’s so nerdy. I made it so far this time too. Oh so happy. 😁

I couldn't make it up to Wilmington for my race, so Angie and I braved the wind and ice to do ten slippery miles. You can tell by our pace where we hit clear ground and where we were ice skating our way through. I never would have gone this far without Angie, though. Teamwork at its finest! #runner #snowrun
