What would be the ideal Pokemon team for a groomer, to help them groom Pokemon that come into the salon? ~A budding Pokemon groomer

Well, the truth is–you can have any team for the job! Some groomers do have their Pokémon on hand as little helpers, but I personally like to get it all done myself if I can.

Everyone I keep is for personal reasons, my Smeargle, Ross, was a gift from my parents when I was very young, and he’s been by my side for a long, long time. Herc, who’s my Golisopod, is just my favorite Pokémon and a big spoiled baby who I love a lot, and there’s a million stories I could tell about everyone else.

Now, if you’re asking about Pokémon that would be good to practice with, that’s a whole different story! The Mareep line are a very popular kind that we usually have about a client a month for, so learning how to do them would be high on the list for recommendations. Also, quadrupedal Pokémon like Shinx or Arcanine are usually groomed in similar fashions, so they’re excellent practice as well.

Many towns that host Pokémon competitions will also have guest judges who are groomers, so if you’re ever near one of those, I would definitely hit them up for advice as well!

Usually from whatever information I’ve already gathered {from source, from the request, from whatever other intentional or unintentional research I’ve done} and simply a gut feeling. In fact, my intuition is about 80% of it. ~Shadow
