Since it's bakuten anniversary, i'm gonna talk about something that i've been thinking for a long time, and is that, i genuinely didn't expect to end up loving the show as much as i did. Like...i don't know if i can explain this very well but i think that what really made me love the show so much is that it has a lot of...care put into it? When i first watched the first 3 episodes i thought it was ok, like not really something i thought would get my attention, but as the show continued i ended up looking forward to every episode every week, and it was so fun!
And i think that on the surface, the show might not look like it's something super interesting, aside from being about gymnastics. The characters as well might not look like they have a lot going on. But as i watched the show i realized just how much the show actually was, and how beautiful it actually is, the characters and their interactions especially were all super fun and intersting to watch, they all got something that i ended up loving, the development of their relationship with each other made me care so much about what would happen to them and root for them!
And i think that all these things show just how much care and love was put into the show, because it's not an adaptation of an already existing manga or novel, it's a completely original show and the team doesn't seem to be that big (tho i haven't checked this), and it's also not super well-known, but it's things like the characters and the characterization, the atmosphere, the animation that shows how much the team cares about it. And i think this is something you can definetely feel when you watch the show
I don't know if i explained myself properly but this is something i've been thinking ever since i finished the show last year, so...i wanted to share it today
