Bhai mere batch mein ek smriti aur hai and use sab hate karte hain bina context ke kisi ki baat sunli aisa dhak dhak hone lag jaata hai kahin meri baat to nhi karre
Like I do understand why a lot of people confuse kim dokja and kim Gongja by their name, but their names are like very defining for their character and aren't /that/ similar
definitely not asking for writing reasons... However, if I was the question would be; How do the boys charge? Is it just a special cord they plug in? Or like a whole setup, like a big ol tube for charging? And is it something easily moved/to get multiple of? (Say they needed to have a charger at multiple locations for example.)
I'd think something in the direction of a charging cable - might need a bit of a set-up to ensure no fuses are blown (like don't plug it into like a multi-outlet power strip, some child safety things to lock it into place) and maybe a bed or comfy chair near the cord, just so it's not too awkward sitting on the ground or something. Connects to their back I'd figure - the area where in canon the latch for the wire is. They're belly "sleepers" due to that hehe, and I like the thought that this vulnerable spot is on their back, all in line with the "Got your back" sentiment <3
They mostly prefer to go into rest mode while charging, since it goes faster then, though they could stay awake, it's just less efficient. It's a very strong charger, so a few hours of charging can last them a couple days on normal use, though Eclipse charges daily to the max to prevent rest mode spells.
Re: ease to get, think of it like very early phone chargers! The time where every brand had their own socket - it'd be a bit tricky to get a high power charger for their model exactly, but adapters exist and they can make do with slower chargers, too, if necessary. But a good one should only be an online order or specialty shop away - a bit pricey, maybe, definitely not like a phone charger here, but definitely a good investment if there's need for it <3
Quick one shot I decided to slap out based on the prompt "I love you" "tell me when you're sober" because hey why not?

Jane gets a little too drunk at an awards ceremony after party and Catalina takes her home
or
Catalina tries not to be such a tightass about power dynamics that are 500 years old and fails miserably
It had been an hour or so, and the all too familiar tension locked into Jane’s shoulders still hadn’t eased. Catalina knew she was probably scaring someone with how intensely she was watching the silver queen, but in the moment she couldn’t bring herself to care. Jane looked stiff as a board, even in her loose fitting white dress shirt and tight-fitting high-waisted black pants. Honestly Catalina would have killed to have been able to wear pants to the event, but she really hadn’t felt like going shopping, and she already owned a gorgeous gold-black dress practically begging to be worn. Catalina sipped at her wine, and tried not to snap at every guest who blocked her line of sight to Jane.
Eventually, Anna came over to pull Catalina from spooking the other guests at the awards ceremony with her rather intimidating aura to instead save Anne and Kitty who had gotten their hands on the chocolate fountain on the buffet table. To be fair, it did have the intended effect, and Catalina was now helping clean up the chocolate that had spilled onto Kitty’s waistcoat instead of worrying intensely over Jane. Cathy had escorted Anne to the car to put away her now ruined purse after Anne had the brilliant idea to fill it with chocolate. Anna was profusely apologizing to the hosts of the party, who thankfully weren’t really all too upset.
As she finally cleaned off the last of the chocolate, Catalina straightened, patted Kitty affectionately once on the shoulder, and then wandered back off to keep up appearances. Eventually, Catalina spotted Jane once again, and winced internally. The woman was in the middle of a variable swarm of people, who all seemed to be asking her questions all at once. The wine glass held tightly in one of Jane’s hands was bordering on empty, and Catalina could see her swaying gently back and forth on her feet.
Catalina frowned to herself, she knew Jane well enough from their past that the silver queen had a slight tendency to rely on the slight buzz of alcohol to get her through particularly draining social situations. “Social interaction,” Jane had confided in Catalina so many centuries before, during once such draining party, “is made ever so much easier when your tongue is loosened and not locked up in your jaw. Considering how well alcohol achieves that goal, and in how much abundance it is at such events, I think it works rather well to assist me.” Catalina had seen multiple flaws in that argument, but decided to leave it for now. The point was that Catalina knew her ex-lady in waiting well, and could tell the difference between mildly buzzed and rather intoxicated. At the moment, Jane was very much the latter.
The crowd wasn’t yet so drunk that it took too much effort to push through it, but it still took Catalina a good moment to get to Jane. She was swaying slightly on her feet, the only protection from making a total fool of herself being her raging anxiety holding her spine stiff as a ramrod. Honestly if any other queen had been the drunk one, Catalina would have abandoned them to the mercy of their own decisions. Well actually that was a lie, Catalina loved them all too much to really abandon them, but Jane was somehow different. She couldn’t yet articulate exactly why Jane was different, she just was.
Finally reaching Jane through the swarm of people, Catalina was, for not the first time, very glad for her innate regal aura. Clearing her throat to catch the attention of the crowd, Catalina stared at the various people surrounding Jane who all appeared to be various types of stuffy historians. “Evening everyone, what are we talking about?”
Jane’s face lit up at the sight of Catalina, and Catalina winced internally as Jane’s grip on the wine glass tightened even further. “Catti! How- how fortunate. We were just discussing his-hishtory.” How interesting. How dangerous.
Any opportunistic historian would be all too willing to take advantage of any of the queens while their inhibitions were down, for just a scrap of damnation against another queen. Catalina knew it all too well, it was really the only reason she’d been cutting back on sampling the wine served at the night’s event.
Smiling with the practiced ease of someone who knew how to perfectly fake politeness, Catalina took Jane’s arm and tucked it under her own. “Intriguing, though if you all don’t mind, I must borrow our lovely Lady Seymour.”
A couple of the men looked ready to argue, but a glare from Catalina cut them down quickly. Leading Jane away, she tried to ignore how Jane hummed softly and leaned her head against Catalina’s shoulder. “Thank you for saving me, they were starting to get bery invasive.” Jane giggled, and then snorted. “Bery. Whoops.”
Catalina nodded absentmindedly, and then found who she was looking for. Cathy was standing on the edge of the dance floor, holding a small flute of sparkling wine. Anne was currently heatedly debating some stranger on some topic Catalina had absolutely no knowledge on. Tapping the sixth queens shoulder, she explained. “Cathy, Jane and I are gonna head out, I think she’s had a little too much fun.”
Jane snorted again and rested her head gently against Catalina’s shoulder. “Yeah, you think s‘all fun. I hate it here.” she badly whispered the last part to Catalina as if informing her of some great joke, and then devolved into giggles once more.
Wincing slightly, Cathy replied, “That sounds good, I think I’m going to try and wrangle everyone else home in another hour or so. Though god knows where Kit and Anna ran off to. Just like a pair of teenagers, the both of them, I swear.”
Rolling her eyes, Catalina chuckled softly. She knew exactly what Cathy meant, only she was usually the one dragging everyone home. “Alright, sounds good. We’ll see you back at the house.”
As Catalina led Jane outside, the cool night air hit their faces, and Jane shivered slightly. Involuntarily, Catalina put an arm around Jane, hugging her tight. “Oh that feels nice. Yourreally warm.” Jane slurred, nuzzling into Catalina’s shoulder. Catalina flushed, but didn’t move. Struggling slightly, Catalina pulled her phone from one of the hidden pockets in the dress, and called an uber.
It didn’t take long for the uber to arrive, and Catalina bundled Jane into the back, sliding in next to her. Jane complained softly at the rough treatment as Catalina gave the person their address, and then settled into the back. Jane nuzzled back into Catalina’s arms, and Catalina had no choice but to comply. The driver glanced up into the rear view mirror, and commented, “You two are a cute couple. Good date night?”
Flushing deeper than before, Catalina stumbled over her words. “Oh, she’s not- we’re not- I’m- we’re not together! We were just out at an event together with some friends.”
Raising an eyebrow, the driver chuckled. “Methinks the lady doth protest too much.” she heard them chuckle. Catalina grumbled, but didn’t say anything else to the driver as the car lapsed into comfortable silence. Jane had a palm up to the window glass and was humming again while watching the lights smudge like falling stars in the faint rain.
As the car pulled up in front of the queen’s house, Catalina helped Jane out of the car and gently propped her up against the short stair railing. Paying the driver and tipping them, Catalina watched them drive off before turning back to Jane and helping her up the stairs and to the front door. Jane mumbled something about it being too hot, which worried Catalina considering it felt freezing out. Finally getting the door open, Catalina half led, half carried Jane into the foyer, and bumped the front door shut with a hip, taking barely a second to lock it. She only turned away for a moment, but when she turned back to Jane, the silver queen was gone. Frantic, Catalina looked around the living room, until she heard the rustle of plastic coming from the kitchen. Dashing into the kitchen and looking over the bar, she found Jane sitting on the linoleum tiles, holding a box of cheez-its in one hand, and a still half frozen chocolate chip waffle in the other. Nibbling at the waffle, Jane was quietly looking into the box of cheez-its trying to gauge its fullness. At last looking up and noticing Catalina, Jane explained, “M’hungry. Can’t stop the munchies.”
Catalina couldn’t really argue with that logic, though she did think that Jane should at least get up off the floor. Sighing, she walked around the counter and picked Jane up, throwing one of Jane’s arms over her shoulders. Jane whined at having lost her box of cheez-its, and Catalina complied, picking them up. “Come on, let’s get you to bed.” she murmured. Jane leaned into Catalina, putting most of her weight onto her, which Catalina didn’t mind in the slightest. As they were making their way up the stairs, Jane suddenly stopped and started fiddling with the buttons on her shirt. “Jane?” Catalina stopped, watching her friend, “What are you doing?”
“S’hot. Gonna take my shirt off now.” Jane mumbled. Catalina started to protest, when Jane got the last button and then pulled off her dress shirt. “Okay we can go now.” she leaned back into Catalina who was sure her face was burning. They’d only managed another step or so, when Jane mumbled, “You’re really pretty, you know that?”
Putting it down as a friendly compliment, Catalina smiled. “Thank you Jane.”
Shaking her head vehemently, Jane tried to explain further. “Nononono, like- like you’re everything, you know that? I don’t know if I wanna be you, or kiss you.”
Catalina wasn’t sure if she could reply to that without stuttering, so she chose not to answer. A coward’s way out, but maybe she was exactly that. A coward. She’d been dimly aware of Jane’s feelings, even back then. It wasn’t hard to tell, although with the intense heteronormativity back then, it was disguised by admiration. But Catalina had known. She’d never acted on her knowledge, no that was dangerous, but she’d known. After all, how could she act? Jane trusted her with her entire being, no, with something even more precious. Her heart. Catalina held Jane in the palms of her hands, and she’d be damned if she hurt Jane at all.
Getting Jane up the stairs, she walked down the hallway to Jane’s room and gently pushed open the door. Jane smiled softly, and stumbled over to the bed, before practically tripping into it, the cheez-its box only barely thrown out of the way. Catalina almost followed her in falling into the bed, but let go of Jane just in time. Jane rolled over in the blankets, before scrabbling for the power switch on her fairy lights and clicking them on. The soft glow filled the room, and Jane collapsed back against the pillows. “Oh thatsss nice. Gonna sleep now.”
Catalina chuckled and walked over to Jane’s closet, pulling out a pair of sleeping shorts and a soft sweater. “Hey I’m sure you don’t want to sleep in your formal wear. Let’s get you into something more comfortable.”
Grumbling, Jane dragged herself upright and let herself be undressed and then put into her pajamas. Catalina folded Jane’s formal wear, and then started to leave the room. “Catalina?” Jane’s almost broken sounding voice stopped her right in her tracks.
“Yeah Jane?”
“Please don’t leave, please don’t- please stay.” Jane sounded on the verge of tears, and Catalina refused to be the cause of any more pain for Jane.
Walking back into the room, Catalina smoothed down Jane’s hair. “Okay, but let me also just change into something comfortable, and I’ll be right back.” Jane mumbled something incomprehensible, and Catalina strained to hear it. “Sorry love, I can’t understand you.”
“...I have one of your hoodies in my closet. Close to the back.”
Catalina opened Jane’s closet and rooted around in the back. Lo and behold, her favorite yellow hoodie was right there. “Huh, I’ve been looking for this. Why did you have it?”
Jane shrugged. “Mm, it smells like you. Calms me down.”
Well Catalina wasn’t about to look into that too hard, or really complain. Instead she shimmied out of her dress and pulled the hoodie on, thankful she’d decided to wear a pair of shorts under her dress instead of tights. Walking over to Jane’s bedside, she meant to just sit next to the third queen, but startled when Jane wrapped her arms around her neck and shoulders and dragged her down. Catalina blinked from her new position, pinning Jane to the bed. Coughing self-consciously, Catalina rolled off of Jane, instead sitting next to her. Jane snuggled into Catalina’s stomach, wrapping her arms around her middle.
Jane’s soft breathing against Catalina’s middle put her at ease, and the remnant of a monarch buried inside of Catalina nodded in approval. Protecting your subject, protecting what was yours, it was right and it was good. Catalina shook her head rapidly. Jane wasn’t hers and never had been, she’d just been a little extra protective towards her since...well since ever.
The soft breathing stopped, then hitched, and Catalina panicked mildly. Was Jane choking? Suffocating? No, no she was saying something, “I meant what I said y'know.”
“Hmm?”
“That you’re beautiful,” Catalina was pretty sure Jane had really said pretty, but she wasn’t complaining, “and that you’re everything.” Jane took a deep shuddering breath, and then mumbled, “I would have followed you to the ends of the Earth if you’d asked me to. Then and even now.”
Catalina’s own breath hitched in her throat, and she had to take a moment to disguise it as a cough.
But Jane wasn’t done, far from it.“I-I think I love you. No, I know I love you. I fucking love you. Did you know that?” she could feel thin tears beading up at the edges of Jane’s eyes and soaking into her hoodie, and Catalina choked again.
Thoughts unbidden raced through her head. Jane loved her, she’d said it. Not in a moment of teasing platonic compliment, but in a drunken haze of unprecedented honesty. Her royal side sang with victory and excitement. Her lady, her lady, loved her. Catalina would be able to hold her and protect her and keep her safe and finally call Jane hers in all the truths of the word. Yet fear bit hard at her fantasies, wailing about control. She knew full well none of them were queen any more, and truthfully any of them could claim the title. Yet Catalina still remembered Jane when she was servile to her, remembered when she sat upon the throne, and remembered when Jane could never say no to anything Catalina wanted. It scared Catalina beyond belief, that Jane would only be with her, only love her, because Catalina herself had forced her hand. So Catalina said nothing. Almost nothing. “You’re drunk. Tell me this again when you’re sober.”
Jane laughed, voice dripping with melancholy. “I’ll never tell you when I’m sober.” Catalina at that point had been dragged almost fully down to Jane, who was now nuzzling into Catalina’s neck and collar. “Mmm you should sleep with me tonight.”
Before Catalina could point out all the various boundaries and consent issues, Jane clarified, “Not like that silly, just cuddles. Please stay?”
Well who could say no to that. Catalina sighed fondly and snuggled down with Jane who subsequently buried her face into the crook of Catalina’s shoulder. Pressing a soft kiss to Jane’s forehead, Catalina found just enough consciousness left to murmur, “Okay. I’m staying.”
Wrapped in the comfort of Jane's arms and soft blankets, Catalina drifted off, barely able to pretend she hadn’t heard Jane’s softly whispered, “I love you.” before her eyes closed for the night.
Now someone who is infinitely a far better inker/colorist finish the job because fuck me trying to recreate Disney palettes and how they color their line art.
