okay but John claiming credit for the ground and Michaela for the sky when Francesca asks them to place the last piece of their puzzle. the way they’re all parts of the same whole 😭 the way John grounds her and Michaela opens up her horizons 😭 the way they mean heaven and earth to Francesca 😭 the way you can’t have one without the other 😭 the way Fran and Michaela’s love clearly is going to be built on their mutual love for John because who else could understand 😭💔
When Rick said that we were going to have a Sally x Poseidon flashback, my mind thought about a nice day on the beach when they were getting to know each other. But no, oh no, that would have been too nice for Rick “I destroy lives” Riordan.
Instead, we got this heartbreaking moment of Sally desperately calling on Poseidon, because she is lost, she thinks she is doing everything wrong and that the only option is taking Percy to a place she doesn’t want him to go. And Poseidon shows up like 0.5 seconds after that calling, because ruling the sea can wait if Sally is crying, and he lets her talk and take out her frustration on him; because deep down he knows that is his fault. It is in his world that Percy is in danger, it is because he is his son that he will not have an easy life. Then Poseidon looks at this small child after Sally ask him if he want to talk to him, but he knows he can’t, no matter how much he wants too; because if Percy is already attracting monsters the presence of a god will only make it worse.
In that scene, they are just two parents trying to decide the best outcome for their kid in an incredibly unfair situation.
sometimes i’m having a good day and then i remember how matty prayed to a god that he didn’t believe in to help him during TRNSMT 2017 and then my day is ruined

okay, i know this is obvious, but i'm just putting it into writing: the spot in the beginning of "Dangerous" where there is EXACTLY the right amount of silence for the rest of the crew (who aren't there anymore) to do their backup line to "only one goal in mind"......... I mean it's perfect.
Ody starts the song, "Six hundred men," and it's interesting, because we know that tune, and we know what comes next, but we also know that he's alone now, so there's a dissonance.
Then we get to, "Six hundred deaths under my command." Wow, so it took a dark turn, but so did everything else in the last saga, we as listeners aren't thinking ahead yet to the fact that the last time we heard this couplet (or something like it) was the song with tons of crew singing along.
THEN, we get to, "'Cause I had one goal in mind." The I there is obvious, but THEN, when it isn't followed by the six hundred, and it's just a heavy, punctuating silence where they would have been. Our hearts and our minds sing the six hundred's part for them-- and they aren't there. It punctuates for us and reminds us the gravity of Ody's choices (the "I" he just used pushes that point, too).
