Our ghost!Jonesy!
ugh there are so many rife ideas, someone write a fic, it's not going to be me!
This is a rare instance where my gaze has been captivated by Mr. Sir over here -
Likeeeeee so very beautiful in that red light?? And the duality of the green and blue light?? Two different sort of specters in the night??
Someone write the fic, I'm giving you an outline!!!!!!
The light and the shade! The evil and the good (or vice versa? or evil and evil?)! The plot is rife. You've got this!
Like Lightning on my Skin
This time it’s Rayllum, but still magic because I’m a sucker for TDP magic
...
Rayla and Callum sat there in the other’s arms. Rayla held tightly, not letting him back away, not letting him see her face. She was blinking away tears and breathing heavily. She kept telling herself that Callum was awake. That he was here, that he was safe.
What an ordeal.
“Uh, Rayla? What happened?” He gently brought his hands to her shoulders, and she felt a tingle at the contact. As stealthily as she could, Rayla brought up her hands to swipe away the last tears before Callum could see.
She succeeded.
Rayla told Callum of how she had to watch him as he tossed and turned, she told Callum of her uncertainty, of how it looked, for a moment, as if he wouldn’t make it. She told -- forcing the words out before she could think about it -- the words she had been trying to say mere moments before.
“I love you.” She didn’t give him time to react, instead she grabbed him by the scarf and pulled him close. Their lips met in the middle.
It felt like lightning across her skin -- hundreds of little bolts racing over her. It felt like light radiating from her very core. It felt like she was on top, letting the wind carry her and letting her emotions run out unhindered. The fear, the desperation, the anxiety. She held her position, waiting for Callum to react to the kiss.
He did not react. Rayla lost confidence quickly when Callum failed to do anything. She backed up, splitting them apart and allowing herself to take a good look at the boy before her.
He was standing there, eyes glazed over.
“Well,” She started, arms moving up to hug her body, “Say som’thin.”
Callum blinked and his eyes moved to look at her.
“Do you think... If I drew the runes on my hands, that I wouldn’t need to draw them in the air every time I cast them?”
“What.”
Callum sprang to his knees, excitement igniting in his smile. He didn’t mention the kiss at all.
“Hear me out. Every time I cast a spell I have to draw the rune and say the word. But if I always had a rune, I wouldn’t need to draw it!”
“You!” Indignation pervaded her trembling voice, “Stupid boy!”
“Rayla, wait!" Callum got up with her, ready to pursue, but Rayla stormed off without heed. Stupid boy.
“Do you think it’d work? Rayla? Okay, I’m gonna try it! I’ll let you know how it goes!”
Ralya huffed, ignoring the flashes and hissing behind her. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
