Ugh
I'm at the point in my life where I now resent people who are getting engaged, not happy for them.
I do not think I have ever been more bored watching a television show than I have been watching the season finale of True Detective.
I like a world building show that is a slow burn, but this show was out of hand. Very few actual episodes I would deem as "good" this last season.
Sometimes it really bugs me how most books end with peace and happiness. The whole story is about how life is terrible and nothing goes right, and then suddenly in the last chapter fluffy unicorns appear and they give all of the characters a big hug and a million dollars and say "everything will be ok now!" Like no. What if everything isn't ok. What if that peace only lasts for another page, and then the rest of the book is just as dark as the beginning? Or what if the "sudden peace" never happens. This book was so realistic and relatable in some ways until the last freaking chapter.
I keep telling myself it's only a TEASER trailer and not to get my hopes up..
