John teaches us about Medicinal Mushrooms this Friday morning in August 10! Medicinal Mushrooms-Friday 1030-1230pm Class description: People have been utilizing mushrooms for their health properties for thousands of years and recently they have been attracting attention. This workshop will cover the history of using mushrooms for human health, how we can be healthy by incorporating mushrooms into our lives, where the science is and is not with medicinal mushrooms, as well as how-to prepare tinctures and extracts. Each participant will go home with their own-made chaga tincture. John Michelotti is the owner of Catskill Fungi whose mission is to empower people with Fungi though outdoor educational mushroom classes, cultivation courses, private consultations, mushroom art, and mushroom health tinctures which he produces from mushrooms he grows on his family farm in the Catskill Mountains. John is the President of the Mid-Hudson Mycological Association (MHMA) and he served on the Mushroom Advisory Panel for Certified Naturally Grown to develop ecological standards in mushroom production.
