{The Moderates Doodles!:}

I really wanted to design Progressive and then I just ended up drawing all of them together, as one does. ^_^ I love the moderates so much, I like to think they're all good friends and get along more than the extremists. It's a shame I don't see much art of them. Socdem's design makes zero sense unless you know the lore behind it </3, Progressive is obviously inspired by hippies, Chriscon is inspired by the church, and Libertarian is inspired by the Victorian period (well-known for its Industrial Revolution.) ↳ {Lore ramblings below!:}

Social Democracy is a Cis-man (He/Him) and Gay (MLM). He's in a relationship with Social Liberalism. Socdem does public speaking/activism. I like to think he owns a library. Progressive is Genderqueer (Any) and AroAce. They're that one unemployed friend who totally owns a crystal shop and sells overpriced statues of buddha, and smells like weed and incense. Rest in peace Progressive you would've loved matcha. He's 100% vegan. Chriscon is a Cis-man (He/Him) and Gay (MLM) (He's HEAVILY in the closet O_O) He works as a pastor at church and enjoys reading in his spare time. Libertarian is a Transman (He/Him), Pansexual and Asexual. He's the second-in-command at AnCorp. and lovingly married to Ancap. Since they're all moderates, they're all naturally reserved and averse to confrontation. They'd rather discuss things over a cup of tea instead of getting into arguments and that's probably why they get along so well with each other. ↳ {Other miscellaneous details!:} ✦=- Socdem is Afro-latino, Progressive is White American, Chriscon is White American and Libertarian is English-Scottish.

Btw as someone with a fixation on watching elections I have noticed that there is this new insane theory among European liberals, that recognizes that cordon sanitaire doesn't work and if you just keep a far right movement out of power for one election with some useless big tent coalition they will continue to gain popularity, and asserts that the best alternative is to...

DELIBERATELY LET THEM GOVERN FOR THEM TO "show that they're incompetent and can only complain with no real solutions"?!??! Like this is supposedly inspired by the polling collapse of the governing far right parties in Sweden and Finland (incredibly tiny countries to take such an inspiration from btw) BUT ARE YOU PEOPLE INSANE. Fuck all the people they are going to deport and harm in that one trial term you want to give them I guess?!? Just for what, for your fave liberal/socdem party to be able to hold onto power without actually changing their policies??

You guys know you can actually BAN far right movements, or at least the more outright racist parts of their rhetoric, right?? That you can actually violently disperse race riots and farmer protests against regulation, even fire on them if you have to???
