My inktober 2019, day 6: Social inadequacies part 2.

My stepsis is whining and crying while FaceTiming with her dad and her voice echoed and I was caught off guard and laugheD STAB ME WITH A FORK
i’m so awkward at leaving a social situation
If I’m anywhere with a group of people I’ve decided that I’ve had my fill of social interaction, I don’t say anything, I just get up and leave. Or sometimes I make an excuse like “have to get something from my car” or “gotta go outside to take a phone call” and then I just never come back. Telling somebody that I want to leave makes me feel guilty, or I don’t have the guts to speak up in the middle of a conversation. I feel terrible about it but idk what to do otherwise.
So I got my insurance card signed by Lord Death
at a recent con. What started as a joke with my friend in line turned into a possibly monumental turning point in my life. John Swansey, Lord Death, from Soul Eater, signed the back of my health insurance card in a beautiful motion of irony.
John: There, now I signed over all the numbers you could possibly need.
Me: Well, there’s always 911 if all else fails
It doesn’t end there. I had a doctor’s appt a couple days ago and the receptionist took my card to scan it. I held my breath as I waited for her judgement. Miraculously, she didn’t flip it over until right before she gave it to me.
Her: *Empty glance and slightest of grimaces
Me: *nervous chuckle* Yeeeah...Lord Death...con...
Naturally, “Lord Death” and “con” meant nothing to her, but only reiterated my station as a socially incapable individual.

Once again at the airport. No empty seats so I awkwardly sit across a table from two girls maybe a couple years younger than me. They start talking about Gravity Falls. I notice one of them is writing with a Sailor Moon pen. They other has anime key chains on her backpack. I want to talk about Gravity Falls with them but I don't want to be that weirdo who barges in with "YES HELLO I ALSO LIKE THIS THING THAT YOU LIKE LOOK AT MY FANART AND COSPLAY I AM A FAN OF THIS THING TOO YOU SEE." In conclusion I remained a silent, awkward turtle.

Daily Random Shit for 2016-03-24
The stupid hurts. I think I’ll confront a random Catholic about the inquisition, a random German about World War II, a random Afrikaans about Apartheid, a random Japanese person about the Rape of Nanking, and random twenty-dollar bill about The Trail of Tears… That makes sense.

so i heard back from my post grad today and i sent a message to a girl in my year about whether or not she had heard yet but i phrased the question so she didn’t know if i had heard (”hey have you heard yet?”) and it’s pure backfired cause she hasn’t heard and now it feel like i’m bragging and i dont mean it to sound like that so i was just like ??i’m sure you’ll hear soon then??
