🫐 What’s your favorite underrated thing in your fandom? (A ship that only you seem to write for, a character there’s almost no fics about, a trope that criminally hasn’t been written yet, etc.)

I think @glossysoap said it best when she said "Best Girl Wins" tropes - it's almost fun to see these military men bested by a civilian, when written well. That and Gaz/Ghost and Price/Soap. Gaz/Ghost/Soap has been on my mind a lot lately too...for reasons. 😉 Otherwise, I feel like I have a wonderful diversity of fics that surround me - trans-inclusive/LGBTQIA+ stories, unique crossovers/AU's, and interesting canon plot ideas - that I think are wonderful and delightful and should be seen by more people.

🍐 Is there anything in canon that you absolutely hate and love to fix in fics? A wrong choice made, a fuck-up in characterization, a misunderstanding never cleared up, a conversation never shown onscreen, etc…

This one should come as no surprise, lol. Soap's death in MWIII. I think it was poorly written and the more analysis I see (from different POV's - martial artists and weaponry experts, plot progression, etc.) it makes me more and more grumpy, lol. Otherwise, I love getting to see Gaz and Ghost interact beyond the snippets we do see. Idk if that's a fix-it, but I feel like there's good mutual respect there that's less common to see in canon. (Maybe 1 or 2 non-verbal scenes?)

🍍 What kind of AUs do you like? Are there any AUs you hate or just generally have beef with?

Oh man, I fucking love AU's. I don't think I have anything I don't like or have beef with. (It's kind of a "I know it when I see it" type thing for me, sometimes I don't vibe and I don't fully know why.) But I think the really fun ones are when it's supernatural/supernatural adjacent in the canon world. There's so many different ways to spin it that there's an endless wealth of resources.

Lyra could not drink like she used to.

This she realized too late, having thrown back more than she had meant to, more than she’d thought to, and now she was gripping her glass so tightly her knuckles turned white, her eyes narrowed as she looked intently at the lettering on the bottles behind the bar, willing them to come into focus, willing the room to steady.

Yes. Well. She was really selling the civilian that night, evidently. Best not to let it go to waste.

The door banged shut behind her, and her spine straightened, neck tilting to subtly (or not so subtly, would-have-been-subtly were her reflexes not on delay, who could say) check the latest patron.

Ah. Her lips curved. Finally. She had been waiting for this moment.

The other redhead, mouth set in a resting, if not quite targeted, scowl, an exhaustion that came from a lifetime instead of a lack of sleep behind her hardened, shuttered eyes (she knew that look; she knew it well, now) was approaching the other end of the bar. Well. This was her chance.

Lyra slid off the stool — ah, that distance had felt shorter a moment ago — and bent to pick up her heels, kicked off at some prior point in the evening when she’d been dancing on the bar dodging the precariously hung light fixtures. She slung them over her shoulder and padded on her toes — fuck, this floor was sticky — behind the bar, checking Mary May’s turned back before grabbing the neck of a whiskey bottle, the distinctive shape compensating for her somewhat impaired vision.

She was halfway back around the bar before she heard Mary May bark, “Fairbanks!”

Lyra waved her hand dismissively (sending the pronounced stilettos of her shoes into her shoulder blade, didn’t think that one through). “Come off it, darling, you know I’m good for it.”

And she was. Would be. Would worry about that later.

She fixed her gaze singularly back on the latest arrival. Stunning, really, if like to bite. That was alright. Lyra liked a sharpened claw; it was more fun, then. The other woman wasn’t looking at her. Well. That was a switch. Delightful.

Lyra slid the bottle across the bar by way of greeting.

The woman — Kit, yes, Lyra knew who she was, of course she did, she had been anticipating this for weeks, and here she was, at last, looking every bit up to expectations — reflexively caught the bottle as it slid in front of her and looked up.

Lyra felt the familiar thrill of the hunt in her blood. Watched the woman take her measure. Met her eyes and saw it there — a born predator, assessing, searching. Saw the recognition there. Blood calling to blood.

Lyra leaned forward conspiratorially, chest pushed out — her tits looked fabulous at this angle, in this dress, they never missed — and flashed her teeth in a grin.

“I believe,” she murmured, gesturing from Kit to the whiskey, “you might put this to better use than I could.”

A body drops limp.

And then another. And another, and another—

Lola sits back on her heels, her bare knees digging into the rusted metal of the decrepit bus she'd taken spot on. She lowers her dusted pink rifle, awestruck, grey eyes mesmerized by the redhead currently tearing angels apart like they were test dummies. An impenetrable force of nature swatting down mindless fleas in her path. It was a thing of a beauty, something you'd see in a renaissance painting.

She felt honoured to be witnessing it in person and happier than ever she'd been invited on this hunt. A hunt for what? Well she hadn't been listening, she'd gotten lost in the electric blue of Kit's eyes and pull of her voice and lips as they wove out syllables. But she didn't really care, whatever the goal of this carnage was she was on board.

The sunrise burned the sky beyond the trees, the deep red catching on the woman's hair and blood stained skin and casting a hellish glow that left butterflies in Lola's stomach. Kit's chest heaves as the final body drops and her peircing gaze finds Lola quickly, nodding shortly to her. Job's done, push forward.

As Kit stalks past the bus Lola let's out an airy sigh and hops off onto the dirt in a dreamy daze, watching the other woman's back with a dopey smile.

"I'm in love."

listen i just imagine that kit kind of confuses & concerns him at first because he can't really Get her. and then when she joins the cult and he's good and well on his way to joining too he still doesn't really know what to think of her but she scares & intimidates him in the same way that jacob does. which means it also makes him kinda horny. but he doesn't know what to think about her except that he doesn't Fully trust her, even if they end up on the same side, because he kinda senses that her loyalties Truly lie with jacob. and he doesn't know what that means for him/his loved ones

I got caught up with Fragile Creatures today...I just...your writing is so fucking good! It should be criminal how good it is. I went from an aching chest over Pratt to tearing up over Jacob telling John the story and I thank you for it <3
