i think it's been long enough now, so i need to share what happened when i went to see the amazing digital circus finale in theatres

before the movie started.

THEY PLAYED THE SONG? THAT SONG? IN ITS ENTIRETY? JUST SPED UP REALLY FAST? DID THIS HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE???? BECAUSE I LOST MY SHIT. I'M SO SERIOUS THIS CAME ON BEFORE THE MOVIE AFTER THE PREVIEWS.

i want to scream into the void about how much i love the Phone Call Scene in Heated Rivalry. i guess my love to this scene is so huge and deep because i am also not a native english speaker (and i also happen to have russian as my mother tongue). and because this is such a deep emotional experience for Ilya, who is not the person to bare his soul in front of other people.

also it hits so much more in the show than in the book, because Rachel Reid wrote it all in english and marked the lines that were said in russian. i could even translate them in my head, but to hear those words spoken... it was on a whole other level.

Hi! I've recently come across your ao3 account. I had never read a dfic, and you truly introduced me into a new world xD

When I read the Jax fic I became curious, tho, because Kinger constantly asks him for his consent, and they stop whenever Jax feels uncomfortable. However, in Caine fics he doesn't seem to have a way to "safe word" out of his punishment. Is it because it's Jax's first time? Or maybe Kinger knows Caine so well that he would know when he is truly distressed? Or Kinger, as Caine's dad and sort of the person in charge of him, also decides if he truly needs a punishment or not? (I know for sure if I was a child and given the choice I would skip punishment every time).

Anyways, I really enjoy your writing. I love the conversations they have with each other especially. They feel so raw and human. Also really in character. Caine's admissions to Kinger were so heartbreaking, and Jax's chapter had me emotional o(╥﹏╥)o

Is it too cruel if I admit I can't wait for Pomni and Caine's fic? 😈

Aw thank you, this is so sweet! OKAY SO UH, regarding um. Consent in this universe in regards to Caine. Caine is admittedly in a sticky spot as for a number of reasons his consent is uh, dubious. For the sake of my own sanity I just tell myself Kinger understands Caine's program well enough to know if he's really distressed. And if Caine DID use a safeword, Kinger would stop, but for kink handwave-y reasons this is just how Caine's built.

Now you may look at this lil AI and go "okay Kinger/Scratch/Queenie, which one of you programmed this poor guy being a spankee bottom/age regresser to deal with trauma into his code?" uuuhhh idk he just developed it somehow in response to trauma and Kinger is equipped to handle it who knoooooooooows "How old is Caine really?" idk he acts like a theater kid burnout twenty-something but his traumas happened young so that's where he ends up. He's not literally a child, he's being given the space to act like one and have the childhood he didn't get to have.

Caine for me when I write him is age regressing to a level that y'know. Becomes young child-y with a parental figure and admittedly for myself part of that is hitting that "you can't really safe out of this because you're literally a child and your parents know best for you" space. Which is a bad thing to do in an irl BDSM/Kink dynamic but y'know this is fiction

Jax meanwhile, I felt like the way he's wired would make a fic focused on admitting he wants submission and chooses it to be really interesting. He also reads as an adult regressing into a teenager, which inherently calls for more autonomy than a younger kid would get. And I knew he'd be very resistant to this because it's inherently vulnerable, but the idea of putting him in a space where he CAN be vulnerable because he lets himself be forced into it? Mmm delicious

TL;DR Functionally the two are exploring different sides about how the kink works and also exploring how the kink reflects the characters issues and relationships.

Also I am also looking forward to Pomni wrecking Caine lol

A few months earlier....

So this was a short test of me trying to practice modding In Stars and Time!! Just did a short little scenario to test out the dialogue boxes and little symbols needed to make them work, made a map from scratch, etc. Made this little cutscene! Obvs using what was already in game because again. just a test

I'd honestly really like to do more ISAT modding stuff. Me on my way to spearhead a modding community for ISAT. in mods and time.
