It’s a Man’s World

I write this sitting in my garden in my swimwear and child-free. I decided to take some of the afternoon to unwind in the sun. As soon as I got into my bikini and put on suncream, it rained. Not only is that bloody ridiculous, but I also have laundry hanging. I proceeded to walk into our study declaring “is this some kind of sick joke?!” to my hubby, who was in a video-call. Whoops. Hope they didn’t see me in my rainbow leopard print two piece. People will start to think I am a lady of leisure, a kept woman. Christ. 

Anywho, it’s no longer raining, but it’s overcast, sod’s law. So humid today though. Is this the UK?!?! I could definitely get used to this, but would need AC in our house. The house is already like a greenhouse. 

So why is this a man’s world you ask? Well, it just is. Men who are father’s do not have to think about taking a shower, going to the loo or getting ready. Mainly because they do it when they want and never ask. How very dare them. If I was to take a shower without the kids opening the door every second, speaking/screaming at me or even throwing their s*** in the shower/bath, I would really need to ask if my hubby would take the kids. It’s a man’s world. 

Men also get man flu, which should be taken very seriously. It is far worse than the version we have and requires bed rest, sympathy, baths and the ability to huff and puff. Don’t even dare to criticise this, as it won’t get you anywhere. Clearly they are just more ill than you were. Orrrr, you popped some paracetamol, injected caffeine and bloody well got on with it! This my friends, is precisely why women are amazing and unfortunately why we have to bear children and go through labour. If men had to do it, we would go extinct. 

Oooo, hurrah, the sun came out for a minute. Blimey it’s hot. I may need to go inside - hahahahaha.

Can not believe that after trying to get a ticket for Taylor on Friday in Manchester for like a year my mum was given one for Saturday because she works for the NHS ...and I go away on Saturday 😩😩😩😩😩 why couldn’t it have been for Friday. Ready to cry!!!
