hi!! do you have any tips on adding image descriptions? I’ve never done it before, but I would love to start!

sure! i have a post here with resources. there honestly isn’t a “wrong” way to write an image description. as long as you’re describing stuff that’s in the image and contextually relevant, you’re doing great!

i usually keep my descriptions 3-5 sentences long, if the image is simple enough. i start the description by grounding the viewer, if that makes sense. so for example, i’ll start with “a drawing of taako and lup hugging,” before going into detail of what taako and lup look like. it makes it less confusing for the reader to start with concrete information before going into lots of details. just try to imagine how you’d describe an image to someone who couldn’t see it, and that’s a great place to start.
