He is a big teaser, worse than his brother Soshiro. He will tease you until you can't stand it anymore. But if you get mad at him, he will smile and make it up to you until you are satisfied.
Before dating, he will do whatever it takes to win your heart because as the eldest son of the well-known Hoshina family, he has a way for getting what he wants and he strives for it.
"He is a heartthrob among the girls of Himeji city because he is both handsome and talented. On top of that, him being a Captain at a young age makes girls throw themselves at him."
But as a Captain of the JAKDF, he doesn't have much time for relationships. The responsibilities of a Captain are weighing on his shoulders day and night. So, he spends most of his time working and training. And his free time is as precious as gold.
After he starts dating you, he will give you his rare free time and focus mainly on you. If you want to go out, he will take you anywhere you want to go. If you want to stay home, he will stay with you, watching movies on the couch or cuddling with you.
He's competitive, but he always lets you win arguments, so you never really fight.
But....👀. As a person who likes victory, he shows his possessiveness and dominance in bed. He will make you obey his every command, such as letting him take you wherever and whenever he wants.
This man has zero shame and he will eat you out on his office desk like a starving man. Damn... His tongue technology can make you see the whole galaxy.
If he sees you interacting with his brother, he will forcefully kiss you in front of him and give punishment to you when you get back home until he breaks the bed.
He is so afraid that he might lose you to someone else, especially his brother, who is constantly trying to win you over. Actually, Soshiro is taking revenge on him by getting on his nerves.

Do you have any headcanons about soichiro and Matsuda? I love how you write their relationship in sheets of linen
Omg yes!! Thank you!!!
Parental, parental, parental things...
I think Soichiro definitely set himself up to be the dad Matsuda needed, while Matsuda was a little oblivious to it. I definitely think he met Matsu and was like "this is a guy that needs a parent" and took him under his wing. Meanwhile, Matsuda didn't even fully realize this because his idea of parents was pretty distorted.
I think I mention in Sheets of Linen that Soichiro took Matsuda to the hospital after breaking his arm while on duty. I definitely think that's when he realized "oh, he really doesn't have anyone," and stepped in as a father figure as best he could. He wrote himself in as Matsuda's emergency contact.
There's also a reference to a time Matsuda called Soichiro late at night after having a nightmare. I think that might have happened a few times in some form or another. I think Soichiro was always very willing to be there for him. Matsuda was definitely nervous and hesitant, but I think The Chief took more care of him than he realized.
And in the upcoming chapter, there's a reference to Sachiko taking care of Matsuda/Matsuda being at Soichiro's house a few times when he was sick (and after his appendix surgery, fic pending!), which I'm pretty sure Matsuda just brushed off as him being overly kind, but I think it was Soichiro trying to give him the home he didn't have.
I tried to hint at Matsuda's guilt over not being accepting enough of Soichiro's attention to him, but I also tried to imply that he was taking care of Matsuda even when he didn't realize (like bringing him Ibuprofen with a homemade snack when he had a headache or even when he tells him to keep going in Matsuda's dream).
I generally imagine Soichiro being very caring for his subordinates in the NPA and always wanted to make sure they had what they needed, which is shown in canon when he's urging them to step down form the Kira case or when he told Aizawa to go step down for his family, but he took even extra care toward Matsuda.
I also was thinking about him being the only one who sees through Matsuda's happy-go-lucky exterior and notices that there's damage inside. And I think Matsuda only lets his guard down around him for the most part. I think we see that in canon a bit near the beginning when Matsuda nervously asks him if he did the right thing when no one else is around, and he only looks upset after the handstand scene when he's alone with Soichiro afterwards.
I just love Soichiro being a father figure to Matsuda. It makes me glad that Matsuda had someone watching his back, but also that Soichiro got to have a son that actually cherished him. Like, even if Light cared, he still used him as a pawn, so Matsuda being the son he deserved really hits me in the feels.
But, I could talk about Matsuda and The Chief all day. Their relationship was so subtle in canon but it seemed so important, at least to me.
Not that anybody asked, but one of my favourite headcanons is that L was actually kind of a bad influence on Light. I think Light often mirrors the behaviours of people he looks up to a lot, both consciously and subconsciously. And I think he was often mirroring L's childish competitiveness and shadiness and turning everything into a game way more whenever they were together. And that then he was sort of terrified out of it and sobered into acting way more seriously again by his dad pretending to execute him at the start of the Yotsuba arc. And then Light starts mirroring Soichiro's ideals and behaviours very closely in that arc instead. Maybe just because he lost his Kira memories, but I think also because he really wants to appease his father and get back into his good graces again. And I think that Light suddenly stopping mimicking L and instead often scorning L's bad behaviour in the Yotsuba arc is a big part of the reason L gets really confused and depressed at that point. He relates way more to the mindgamey Kira Light that he half helped create and inspire than he does to the very serious and straitlaced Light that he actually ended up handcuffing himself to.
If Soichiro Yagami from Death Note was the one assigned to escort Ellie Williams to the Fireflies, how would they fare compared to Joel?
Gets emotionally attached / successfully escorts Ellie to the hospital
Gets emotionally attached / dies on the way to the hospital
Doesn’t get emotionally attached / successfully escorts Ellie to the hospital
Doesn’t get emotionally attached / dies on the way to the hospital

The DNG Universe genderbends Light, L, and Misa. The rest of the characters retain their original gender. We wanted to explore how this affects the relationships in the show - with Soichiro and Sayu watching their precious, studious daughter/sister become a monster, with the leading detective in the world being afab nonbinary leading a group of male detectives, with a male Misa being in love with Kira without knowing who Kira is, implying the possibility of a queer male popstar.
