Your hands grasped at the purse that rested against your hip, tapping your side with the sway of your walk. Picking up your pace you did your best to not be late, it would have been horrible to show up late on your first date, Especially a date that you had been looking forward to for weeks, a date that you had wanted for months with the girl of your dreams. Squinting your eyes you tried to block out the bright shining sun it almost felt like it was happy for you.
“You made it!’ her sweet voice rang in your ear. Locking eyes with Sojung you couldn't help but feel the heat rise to your cheeks. Your heart did a little dance in your chest when she gave you a smile.
“Of course I made it. I've been looking forward to this for what felt like ages,” you replied while carefully walking closer to her.
She shyly rubbed the back of her neck and spoke up “I know its probably not the most interesting date idea but-”
you cut her off with your words “Sojung this is such a perfect date idea! I would have never thought of this.” She breathed out in relief with your words. It was clear that she was tense about the whole situation, but you couldn't blame her because you felt the same.
“Shall we go in? It should be starting soon,” she checked the small gold watch on her wrist, it complimented her loose light red shirt perfectly. You nodded your head and followed behind her into the building.
You both looked around the hallway “I think it's in here,” you said, opening the door for her.
“Oh welcome! Please come in and take a seat,” a kind old woman spoke while gesturing for you both to enter.
“Have either of you done pottery?” the old woman asked. You both shook your head and took a seat near the window.
“Oh it's lovely, you'll love it,” she smiled and went to go prepare some slabs. Glancing at Sojung you took in her gorgeous appearance. She seemed so focused on a pamphlet describing how to make some simple shapes.
Out of the corner of her eye, she caught your staring, whipping her head to look at you she panicked “You don't think this is a boring date?” Sojung continued to question whether you were going to have fun.
You shook your hands “It won't be boring! I'm looking forward to feeling miserable,” you joked, thinking back to all the times you were required to take pottery in art class. She nodded her head in agreement before the teacher spoke up.
“I'm going to place a slab of clay on your spin. All you're going to do is a put a little pressure on it and experiment with the different shapes you can make! Don't use too much water or else it will be too wet and won't hold shape,” she barely explained the process to the class.
Dropping slabs on your desks she walked began to watch over the class like your teachers back in school used too. Using a little water you started your work on your shape. Sojung also started on her shape, glancing over at her she seemed to do it perfectly like she did pottery in her free time. You stared in awe and looked back at your lump of clay. “Uhhh,” you said while you tried to fix its shape, adding just a little more water. Sojung glanced over at you and giggled, she continued to work of hers. Few minutes passed and you made light conversation. “This is hard,” you said, no matter how hard you worked on your vase nothing seemed to make it better. Sojung started proudly at her work, a gorgeous shaped vase sat in front of her. You felt your cheeks heat up in embarrassment. The teacher was busy helping someone else so she didn't even bother to help you.
Sojung stood up and moved her chair behind you “What are you doing?” you asked. “Sshh, let me help,” she rested her head in the crook of your neck, placing her messy hands over yours. You felt your pulse quicken at her sudden closeness. “Watch,” she whispered tilting her head to look at you. Stepping on the wheel she moved your hands carefully up and down, putting pressure on the middle part to make the top spread out. You stared in awe at her skills she so easily fixed she lumpy mess that you had created.
“Wow you're so amazing!” you beamed, trying to ignore the feeling of her chest pressed against your back. She giggled sweetly in your ear, sending shivers down your spine.
“Now-” Sojung stopped the wheel and carefully removed her hands from yours-“you have a beautiful pot.” You giggled at her proud smile. She moved back to her spot and started to carefully write the date on her pot, you chose to do the same.
The teacher approached you both “Oh my you guys did a wonderful job,” the teacher admired your work. You scoffed and shook your head, you didn't do anything, it was all Sojung. “I can put these in the kiln for you and you two can pick them up tomorrow,” she said while carefully placing them on a tray. You and Sojung washed your hands before leaving the pottery class.
“That was so fun!” you beamed while starting over at her. She smiled softly and spoke “Would you like to catch some food? I would hate for this date to end when it feels like I just started,” she brushed some hair behind her ear and carefully awaited your response. Yo pretended to think for a moment causing her to panic and think you'd say no. “I would love to,” you reached out and grabbed her hand. Turning around you started to walk in the direction of the mall, knowing that there would be some food in there. Sojung watched your back as you walked, admiring how stunning you looked. She shook her head and held back a laugh, it was hard for her to believe that she was really going on a date with the very person she had
