Winter Solstice & Yule greetings

For everyone in the Heathen and Pagan community. Stand tall and greet the coming year with courage and hope.

So the eve of the 24th day of the 12th month of the Gregorian calender approaches. Usually that means lots of pine, figures of magical gnomes, red decorations and cut-out winged humanoids everywhere, gingerbread cookies and porridge with cinnamon for eating, and presents fading into existence around aforementioned pine to the sound of the old chorus calling forth the end of the sun.

Joyous time, if not with much of a reason to celebrate other than old fairy tales and the fact that the sun is staying away for a while.

Hope anyone reading this has a great day, even if it's only a break from bigotry or other horrible circumstances. Sympathy and support for those who still have to protest the horrible stuff that never should have been, to those who struggle because of wars or bigotry, and to those hurt by corrupt systems. Hope your stories get boosted and supported far far more than anything I write.

*Relatively meaning that I am closeted around my family and am a white able-bodied middle-class woman. Still have crap to go through, but I survive.
