Well, I don't know how headcanon this can be so(?), but Gaara tends to change his gaze sometimes to Lee, because it becomes docile, gentle, soft, silent, it's one of those looks that not everyone perceives, but to do so, the great mute but sincere affection is noted. And is something that not even he realizes do it for Lee... (?).
I LOVE THIS!!! Thank you so much for sharing! I 100% agree!! I think that Gaarais always so stoic and blank faced, but then like you said, it softens when he looks at Lee! It’s subtle, but Lee notices and his heart skips a beat when it happens. Lee on the other hand, always has puppy dog eyes for Gaara and everyone can tell.
