my thing about the plot of a darker shore is that kaz had to have had some kind of plan regarding the investigation from the very beginning. you're telling me letters b/w him and inej were just, uncovered??? there's a good bit of dramatic irony from the get go since we're aware of inej's involvement with taking down slavers and also kaz/wylan/jesper's involvement as well. i just wonder if this is going to be an example of kaz genuinely getting somewhat caught, or if he purposely exposed those letters for some greater plot.
