I need to find a cool animal to do a science report on.....
Just thinking about how Kaz gave Inej her first knife when she joined the Dregs, and how it was probably just so she would have something to defend herself with in case she ever got into a sticky situation and NOT because he was expecting her to be so deadly with them. I mean he recruited her because she had an unparalleled talent for sneaking around unnoticed; probably neither of them knew she was great with knives too.
So anyway yeah I'm just imagining the first time Kaz sees her using the knife he gave her, after she's been given a few lessons but hasn't put in anywhere close to the number of hours needed to be that good, and she just blows him and all the other Dregs away because there is just no explanation for it--she's an absolute prodigy. She should not be this good. But she is.
And just... the comfort it must have given Inej, to learn she really is dangerous, and for Kaz to see that he was so right about this girl--she is something so special. Of course he's his typical smug bastard self about it, patting himself on the back for making such a good investment but also he's definitely... weirdly proud?? And why does he want to smile, watching her laugh as she hits the bull's-eye for a third time in a row? No, really, what's up with that?
Anakin w/ electric powers
Anakin gets electrocuted So Much. I just had an image flash through my head--of Anakin, surrounded by droids, his men dying around him, boiling with rage and fury and anger because it’s not fair, the war never has been and he’s trying, he’s trying to save them but he can’t and it overwhelms him to the point where he feels like he’s about to vibrate out of his own skin--
And suddenly lightning rolls off of his skin in a violent wave, disintegrating the clankers but leaving the clones untouched. Anakin’s metal hand shorts out and goes limp.
“Okay,” he mutters quietly, unsure of what had just happened. He holds up his real hand and watches as electricity skitters across his knuckles. It doesn’t hurt. Anakin is used to it. There’s a clattering sound as more droids come around the corner. Anakin raises a hand defensively, reaching for the Force to blast them backwards, except instead, a a jagged bolt of lightning flashes from his fingertips to incinerate them.
It’s not Sith lightning. It’s something else.
“Okay,” Anakin says again, balling his fist and summoning his lightsaber to his grip once more. When he ignites it, he can’t stop a cocky grin as a rumble of thunder echoes in his ears. “Now this is more like it.”
Lightning had once been his enemy, but as he launches himself towards the enemy, electricity arcing off of him, he thinks that it’s never been a better friend.
